Toyoko Inn Hokkaido Hakodate Ekimae Daimon in Hakodate

Didn't pay attention it was a smoker room so it's my bad. But other wise it's what you need to sleep and shower nothing more nothing less. Close the the train station with lot of restaurant nearby.

This time, I was assigned a smoking room, and as soon as I entered, I felt it was incredibly smelly. I wanted to switch to a non-smoking room, but the hotel was fully booked that night, so there were no rooms available.

The front desk staff were very helpful and had a great attitude, but they couldn't resolve the issue.

I tried opening the window for ventilation. It was very windy that night, almost snowing, but even after nearly an hour, the smoke smell was still very strong.

I also tried using a spray, almost an entire can, but it didn't improve anything.

The bathroom extractor fan was also pretty useless.

I went downstairs to the coffee shop and brought up two cups of coffee to help neutralize the smell. The faint coffee scent made it a little more bearable.

However, the entire night was enveloped in smoke, making it one of the most uncomfortable nights of my life. As soon as morning came, I checked out immediately.

Additionally, there were some stains on the bed.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

The room's location is excellent, just a 5-7 minute walk from Hakodate Station, making it very convenient for getting around. There are also many restaurants nearby. It's not too far from the Red Brick Warehouses and Mount Hakodate, just a few bus stops away.

I had to catch a 6 AM JR train. They had already prepared some breakfast, but refused to serve it before 6:30 AM. This is a negative point. Will I get a refund for the breakfast cost?
