This hotel beautifully blends modern and traditional styles. The rooms are clean and spacious. The service is excellent, and the location is very convenient, being close to the train station and local shops.

This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Kyoto. I booked it via Ctrip this time and got a good deal. The hotel is showing its age, and some of the fixtures were a bit worn. However, once I brought it to the front desk's attention, they promptly addressed and resolved the issues. Its location near Kyoto Station is excellent, making transport very convenient. My favorite part was definitely the cypress bathtub.

Nice hotel, but I didn't live in the main building, but in a two-story room in the annex. On the top floor there is a bed, several shelves, a hanger, no space to put suitcases even on a rack, let alone unfold them. Downstairs there are sofas and a shower with a wooden bath. There is a lot of dust in the room, and on the wooden walls there is just a layer of dust several centimeters thick. Breakfasts are good.

Better than expected!!! Very spacious
First of all, the transportation is very convenient, just one minute walk from Gojo Station, the public areas are beautifully landscaped, our room just happened to see Kyoto Tower and Higashi Honganji Temple downstairs (worth a visit, very large and exquisite), Nishi Honganji Temple is a world heritage site but has not been redecorated, not as beautiful as Higashi Honganji Temple.
The only thing is that the water temperature is not particularly stable, but it is not too cold. I guess it is due to the age of the hotel. The air conditioner is a bit noisy at night. We turned off the air conditioner to sleep, but it did not affect the room temperature, it was still very warm

Hotel to recommend in Kyoto

There is no Chinese service, but the lady at the front desk patiently translated and told you the precautions on the tablet. The service is perfect. It is very close to Gojo subway station and Kyoto Station can be reached in ten minutes on foot. There is a convenience store behind the hotel, next to the temple. In the morning, there are koi and pigeons in the temple river to eat.

Convenient location. 1 min walk away from bus stop and train station. 15-20 mins away from Kyoto station. Quite a lot of things nearby to shop and explore! Beautiful temples and sceneries. You can take a short bus ride to Nishiki Market and Gion District. AMAZING ROOM, huge & we got upgraded bc they had a lack of rooms. Will definitely come back to this hotel agn. If you need anything like HDMI adaptor, etc u can just ask the counter, they have a lot of things hidden in their storage. Super clean, super neat and enjoyed the onsen bath.
