Nearby to train station and easy to find the hotel; right along the main road.

Location very good, just walk straight outside the train station. A bus stop is just in front of the inn

Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, with a public bath on the top floor. I arrived back late, so it wasn't crowded when I went for a soak at night. The only downside is that the room is a bit small, not as spacious as the hotels near Wakayama-shi Station.
Cleanliness: Quite clean.
Service: The service was excellent. We arrived at the hotel in the morning to check in, and even though it was before official check-in time, we left our luggage at the front desk. When we returned in the evening, our luggage had already been sent to our room.

I liked the hotel, tasty breakfast, nice interior.
I also liked the lounge on the 2nd floor, free massage chairs, ice cream, probiotic drinks. The changing room in onsen is fine, the onsen itself is convenient, well decorated. However, it seemed that cleaning service overdid their job and chloride smell was strong in the onsen. In women zone there are 2 baths with 40+ °C, sauna and 1 bath with colder temp.

Not far from the JR station, it's about a 7-minute walk straight down the main road after exiting (even with luggage). The hotel entrance is small and easy to miss. The highlight of this hotel is the free ice cream after enjoying the hot spring, and complimentary ramen served after 9 PM. Plus, the breakfast is very rich and delicious.

Nice location (very close to JR Wakayama station in walking distance). The staff are nice and helpful. The onsen experience is good though the area is small but it is hygienic. Free snacks (ice sticks) and massager are nice to have. Room is comfortable and clean.

We've stayed at Dormy Inn in many locations across Japan, and our entire family loves it. Although the rooms at Dormy Inn are typically quite small, they offer incredible value for money. Being able to soak in a hot spring every day after returning exhausted is a particularly worthwhile experience. The hotel provides complimentary ice cream, Yakult, and massage chairs. Plus, at 9:30 PM, they even offer free soy sauce ramen. These added perks are definitely a major draw.
Personally, I find Dormy Inn's breakfasts to be excellent across Japan, with the exception of Tokyo, which is just average. They always incorporate local specialties, with dishes like beef bowls, natto, and onsen eggs being prime examples. The Dormy Inn in Wakayama even offered cantaloupe, which was a delightful surprise, especially considering a single wedge of Yubari melon in Hokkaido can cost 25 RMB.

They offer complimentary late-night ramen, which is a fantastic perk. Guests also have free access to the spacious public bath. The breakfast spread was excellent, featuring a wide variety of options. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and wonderfully quiet, ensuring a restful stay. Its location is incredibly convenient, right next to the station, with plenty of dining choices in the vicinity. While the hotel might be compact, it's an excellent choice for a transit stop.
