A one-night stay with two meals – truly delicious food, top score!

The hotel is located right next to the beach in a tranquil environment, within walking distance for a stroll and ocean view. The rooms are Japanese-style, spacious, and the onsen (hot spring) is comfortable. The highlight was dinner – the sheer variety of food was astonishing! The three of us enjoyed ten courses, including a whole plate of Awaji sea bream sashimi (see picture), as well as other Awaji Island specialties such as Awaji onions, beef, snakehead fish, sushi, and hot pot. Even six of us couldn't finish it all. It was excellent value for money. The next day's breakfast also featured Awaji specialties, so we didn't need to go to any restaurants outside the city.

Our stay started pleasantly with a polite welcome at the entrance! It was fun to be able to choose our favorite kimono design!
In-room dining was not available as advance notice was required, but the dinner venue was very clean and modern. There were some older game consoles installed, and we were able to play on them, something we hadn't seen in a while. We stayed in a Japanese-style room with an ocean view, and the sunsets and sunrises were beautiful. Best of all, we could hear the sound of the ocean all the time, which was very relaxing.
The most impressive thing about this inn was the food. The sashimi was delicious, and the selection was plentiful, so we were very satisfied!
The morning buffet offered both Japanese and Western dishes, and the desserts were delicious!
The beach was right next to the inn, so we enjoyed ourselves even when we were tired!
The staff were also very polite, and it was an inn that we truly wanted to stay at again!

It was a Japanese holiday, so the hotel was fully booked, and prices were 40% higher than usual. A four-person room with two meals cost about USD 770, which wasn't cheap at all, so I was really looking forward to it.

However, the kaiseki dinner was very average, the worst meal I've had in recent years. Breakfast was a buffet from 7:00 to 9:00, and when we arrived at 8:15, there were still 20 people in line. We ended up waiting for half an hour to get a seat, which felt unprofessional.

There were also facilities for children, which were quite special.

I didn't have high expectations, but the dinner and breakfast were both good.
