It's close to the station and very convenient.
It does have an old feel to it, but the rooms are spacious and clean.
I'd like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Aside from a short, steep hill, the location is excellent.
The guest rooms were renovated and clean. The bathroom had a peculiar smell, but I was able to mask it with the clothing deodorizer I had. When I visit Mito, I usually stay at a major chain hotel near the south exit, but this time I stayed here for the first time. The facilities and cleanliness were just as good, so I'll definitely stay here closer to the station from now on. I was a little bothered by the sound of the vacuum cleaner running periodically throughout the day. I wanted to have Chinese porridge for breakfast, but they said it would take 20 minutes, so I gave up. I'd like to try it again when I'm not working.
It's also nice that the Kodokan is nearby, so I can drop in whenever I want.
The nearby Pro Cafe was also good.

We checked in in August 2025. When booking, there were no "non-smoking" rooms available, so we booked a "smoking" room. The room smelled awful, the lighting was terribly dim, and apart from the toilet, the entire room reeked of smoke. When we asked the front desk if they could help us change rooms, they said there were no other non-smoking rooms available. We had booked two nights, and they wouldn't let us check out or get a refund for the second night. The hotel's handling of the situation was very passive. For us non-smokers, staying in such a room was torture. My son had a headache and slept with a mask on, while I felt nauseous all night. We checked out as soon as it was light the next morning and moved out of that awful room. Why are smoking allowed in hotel rooms? It's unbelievable! Aren't they afraid of causing a fire? I advise non-smokers: even if you can't book a "non-smoking" room, don't force yourself to stay in a "smoking" room.

The room was big, but the smoking room had a terrible smell.
For business travelers with variable schedules, it's better to book one night at a time. (I booked three nights, but couldn't cancel the remaining two nights due to a change in the client's schedule.)
When the air conditioner in the room is turned on, the green light seems to stay on all the time.

This is a historic hotel and felt a bit old, but the bathroom and toilet were new and we had a very comfortable stay.
We went to the Chinese restaurant in the basement with our children, which was also very comfortable, the food was delicious and we had a wonderful time.
I'd like to visit again when I stay in Mito.

The service level of the front desk staff was very high, the rooms were clean and spacious even for the standard rooms, and I was able to relax during my stay. I would like to stay here again.

Staff were excellent at check in. The rooms are a decent soze and the bayhroom's good. The hotel is quite close to the station.
