I stayed here 7 years ago on a business trip, and this time I stayed here it was still as clean and tidy as before. The front desk has added a machine for check-in and check-out, which is very convenient. The transportation location is very close to Shin-Shirakawa station, just a few minutes walk. The free parking in the flat parking lot is a plus. There's an Aeon mall a short walk away, so it's best to do your groceries beforehand, but there are dining options within the hotel, and there are ramen and yakiniku restaurants nearby. While the hotel as a whole is clean, there were signs of previous guests, such as hair in the bathroom and on the table, which was a bit unpleasant.

My mother was disappointed that there were no pajamas. I was also disappointed that there was no fruit or yogurt for breakfast. Other than that, it was great.

The West Wing has no front desk and no staff, so after checking in at the main building, you have to use your room key to enter the West Wing, which is locked. The rooms don't have an auto-lock, so it's easy to forget to lock your door. Aside from that, there is a large public bath and the breakfast is delicious.

It was within walking distance of Shin-Shirakawa Station, had all the amenities, and the breakfast was satisfying. I was in the West Wing, but the only disappointing thing was that instead of using a card key, I had to leave the key in the lobby of a separate building every time I went out.

It was a fabulous stay. This Onsen hotel may be small but the staff tried the very best to assist you. The traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast were fantastic. The Onsen was also really good - they would also allocate a private timeslot for you to enjoy some solo time.
