4 star hotels in Nasu

The hotel is large! I remembered having to walk about 5 mins after parking all the back at the back of the carpark. There's so many good things about the hotel. I will just highlight 3 things. Firstly the variety of the food at the buffet restaurant was awesome and so tasty. Secondly the facilities were amazing - indoor heated pool, games room, a shop that sells local produce, launderette etc. Thirdly...

The observatory was a bit disappointing. It was just a rooftop. The chapel building was pretty. There were too many people. Overall, it was okay. I wish I could see the mountain behind me.

I took my elderly mother with me, and we were able to see the beautiful autumn leaves, the open-air bath was very comfortable, and the food was a buffet so we could eat as much as we wanted of what we liked, so everyone had a great time without any stress.

The environment is excellent, the service is great, and there are many activities to participate in at the hotel. Highly recommended!

My kids loved the pool. It gets crowded during meal times, so it's best to plan ahead. It was convenient to be able to use the room card to shop within the hotel. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, so I think it was good.

Quite outdated, stop serving food at stupid times and forced reservations in an empty restaurant

The hotel was clean, and the front desk staff were very helpful. The onsen wasn't too small; it was quite spacious. The room was also spacious, clean, and tidy. Everything would have been almost perfect, but they didn't provide toothbrushes, razors, or shower caps. If you needed them, you had to purchase them at the front desk: toothbrushes for 100 JPY, razors for 200 JPY, and shower caps for 50 JPY...

The sauna temperature was abnormally low, so it was hard to call it a sauna. We had to lay out our futons ourselves, which was a pain. Still, it was cheap, so it wasn't too bad. I think it would be a good value for money accommodation if the facilities and service were improved a bit more.

The best onsen in Nasu area. The staffs is always ready to welcome u on arrival, they provide very friendly hospitality. The traditional Japanese dinner js superb!

Wonderful Sake Brewery tour with lunch and sake tasting. Owner of the company gave us the tour. We took a train there from Kyoto and it was a very nice day.

The soup is good. The service is OK. Actually, it all depends on the waiter. Overall it's good and the free massage chair is very comfortable

Liked it a lot. Traditional japanese dinner and breakfast was super. Traditional rooms also super experience. Onsens bery beautiful in autumn colors. So as part of a japan trip i would include this hotel. Also garden is very pretty. Thanks for super stay!

We stayed here for a golf trip and were pleasantly surprised! The dining was fantastic, the rooms were lovely, the hot springs were incredibly relaxing, and the service was top-notch. It's a little far from the highway exit, but that wasn't an issue and it's perfect for those traveling by car.

The room, the food, and the view from the room were all fantastic. I could really unwind and relax. I'd love to stay here again on my next visit to Nasu.

My friend's family and I stayed here for a golf trip, occupying two rooms for a total of four people. We were extremely satisfied with everything: the meals, guest rooms, views, facilities, and of course, the golf course. My room featured a balcony with views of the golf course, making for a very comfortable stay. The course meal truly impressed me with its creative and thoughtful preparation of vegetables and fruits, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was the perfect hotel for someone like me looking for a quiet, solo retreat. Next time, I'm looking forward to joining the stargazing night tour.

We were very satisfied with the golf course view from the hotel, the quality of the onsen, the upgraded meal we ordered, and the staff's service. My only minor feedback is that the front desk didn't quite feel like a proper front desk.

I went my family and stayed 2 nights ! We were told some rooms were not yet renovated, the problem was not that the room we had was old the problem was it was dirty ! The indoor kids areas looked fun but the toys were old and broken. The train was out of services. The outside area was pretty good and basically made the whole staying worth. We had breakfast and we were not impressed, food wasn’t amazing...

Grand Mercure Nasu Highland is a wonderful stay! I loved the panoramic mountain views and the unlimited soft-serve ice cream at the breakfast buffet 🍦 The washing machines were clean and convenient, and the strong, high-quality hairdryer was definitely a favorite. Would happily stay here again!

Excellent will come back and stay Mecure Nasu again. Lots of activity for kids and have an excellent free bar.

At check in, the front desk female staff briefed me that my family and I could enjoy the Night Lounge snacks later though we did not purchase the dinner nor breakfast meals. I booked one night at the hotel as a waypoint for my onward trip to Yamagata from Narita. I was pretty blown away by the surroundings and the view of the mountains provided by the rooms. The staff were very courteous and the western style rooms large and clean. The hotel is resort like and definitely caters to families with children.
