It's a little far from the city center and the bus terminal, so if you have a lot of luggage and want to go out to eat, it's a bit of a walk. It takes about 20 minutes. Room is spacious and the staff were friendly. We stayed for five nights, there are some restaurants close by, and a Family Mart and bus stops about a 10 minute walk away. Location wise, the hotel (if you don’t have a car), is pretty far from the port and main market, about a 25 minute walk. Overall though a great option and priced well.

The hotel staff were very helpful and nice. The ladies at breakfast were sweet and on to it. But the room… was pretty gross. There was black mould on the shower curtain, sweat / dirt stains around the bed where it evident that people have sweated or leaned on. Felt like some one had been there for months on end. Eerie and sweaty vibes. To top it all off the shower head gave me pimples on my face.

Calm and comfortable! We stayed 5 nights at Jouya and we loved it! Everything was clean and calm we could really relax and enjoy the beautiful nature of ISHIGAKI. There are also several diving centers around the hotel and during the night we could see stars on night sky on the rooftop. Definitely recommend for people that want an authentic island experience.
