The location is perfect for a Kagoshima trip, you can walk to the ferries. The rooms are a bit old but clean.

The hotel is excellent, with great service and comfortable, well-designed rooms. It's affordable and in a good location, with plenty of dining options nearby. Although the hotel is small, it has everything you need. It's a bit of a walk to Kagoshima-Chuo Station, but you can take the tram. Plus, there are lots of great places to eat right around the hotel.

This hotel has been my favorite place to stay whenever I travel.

There is a onsite parking but you need to pay. The parking is just beside the hotel. This hotel nearby eatery places, walking distance. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. I will definitely stay this hotel again if I visit this place :)

The size of the TV did not match the size of the room. I couldn't see the TV at all from the bed. The hot water heater was an old-fashioned unit bath type that couldn't be stopped, making it very difficult to adjust the temperature. Although the room was spacious, there was little lighting and what few lights there were was very dim. I felt there were many areas that could be improved.

I wish the lighting was a little brighter

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the Tenmonkan shopping street, and there are electricity, buses and other transportation options at the door, making it convenient to travel. The room was clean, the service staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious.

The staff is very nice. I like a lot this small hotel. The room was very comfy with a lot of amenities. Well located, nlvery close to Tenmonkan, and next to the ferry terminals, I will definitely stay here again when I come in Kagoshima.

Great location with lots of shopping and food. Hotel is new and nice. Parking of cars are convenient too. Just leave it at the entrance unload stuff and check in while the staff do the rest.

For the price i paid i kinda feel guilty, small but beautiful room, the terrace bathtub was like a cherry on top of a cake🥰

The room and the bed were a bit small for us, but the in room bathtub at the terrace was a plus and a rare find at this price. However, there was constantly some smell in the bathroom (probably due to the shower curtain being always damp) and you could see dust visibly accumulated and stains on the wall next to the bed.

It was a nice stay overall, but the walls and door to the room were very thin and I could hear everything in the hallway at all times so sometimes I would wake up to the noise. The onsen was also quite crowded throughout my multi-night stay, but the café/bar was very nice. The staff were very warm and friendly.

Because the hotel had no water or electricity, we arranged to stay at Nakahara Villa, a Japanese-style tatami room. The room has 2 beds, has a hot spring, is also located very close to the planetarium, and includes Japanese breakfast. Everything is pretty good. Accept the arrangement.

Located in the city center, convenient for city transportation, shopping, and restaurants. You can relieve the fatigue of the day in the natural hot springs (mainly men's baths). The facilities are old but clean. The room size is small, but not inconvenient to use.

Please check the opening days and hours of the hot springs and sauna before booking your stay. The hot springs and saunas are generally open to men, but there are also ladies' days. My visit overlapped with a ladies' day. Also, perhaps due to the pandemic schedule, the hot springs are not open late at night. Great service even during the busy golden week. Very cleanly too. Comfortable bed and everything you need provided. Only complaint is that the laundry space is limited. Only two washers and two driers. And parking is limited. Great location.

Typical APA, decent room though the TV entertainment wasn't free at this particular APA unfortunately . Not the best location for transport as I had to walk 20 min from kagoshimachuo with luggage. Though it's quite close to the ferry if you need it.

The room is incredibly spacious. The shower in the room never gets warm.

The rooms were indeed more spacious than those in a business hotel, but the facilities were rather outdated, and there were no toiletries provided at the hot spring area. At breakfast, I saw other tables had hot pot beef or salmon, but why didn't I have any? There was only a piece of tofu in the pot... and a large fly even flew out. It's best to just experience it once in a while.

Great and warm service, and super convenient pain drive off the main road. The hotel does not look like the pictures and reminds me a bit of a prison block from the outside... very interesting architectural design... but the rooms themselves are very well decorated and comfortable.

The location is fantastic! It's very convenient for visiting Shiroyama Observatory, Terukuni Shrine, the planetarium, Kagoshima Castle, and Sakurajima. The surrounding area is also very quiet, so you won't be disturbed at night. The hotel staff are very friendly and help make your beds every day. So I booked 3 nights for this short trip. Very nice hotel, if a bit dated. The restaurant has wonderful teishoku (set meals). It's also very close to the port if you are headed to Yakushima. The front desk was kind enough to call a cab for us the morning we checked out, it was only a few minutes drive from there.

The bathhouse's hot spring water was very slippery and clean, which was nice. The location was also convenient, just 200 meters from the airport bus stop and near the station, making it convenient for everything, including restaurants, shopping, and even a supermarket.

The hot spring water was thick and creamy, and my makeup went on really well. The breakfast was mainly Japanese food, but they also had bread. The staff were always smiling and I was able to get there on foot from the central station. I was very satisfied.

Interesting Japanese onsen experience. For western travellers is a nice way to get insight in traditional onsen culture. Food was so interesting at the restaurant downstairs. Recommend for anyone wanting onsen bath experience, peaceful stay by the water, great views. Really enjoyed cycling around the island using the hotel bikes.

It's close to the Tanegashima Yakutaka Trail and I use it when I'm in Kagoshima City. The food is filling and satisfying.

We stayed at Aqua Garden Hotel Fukumaru for our school trip! We stayed in room 408, which was a Japanese-style room! Sakurajima couldn't be seen from our room, but it looked so beautiful when we went outside🌸🏝

We had a wonderful stay at the Aqua! The staff and owner were incredibly kind and helpful and the tatami room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed one of the best made Japanese/western breakfasts ever at the hotel’s restaurant. We hope to return soon.

This is a very child-friendly hotel. There are lots of toys for children in the resting area after the bath, a large grassy area where you can play ball games, a small park, and a bouncing bed. The hot springs are very smooth and comfortable, the food is delicious, and the overall cost performance is very good.
