Hotels for smokers in Nagasaki

This hotel probably saw it’s heydey in 1988 but it’s still comfortable and well located. The beds and bedding are super comfy with buckwheat pillows. The best part about the hotel is their onsen. It’s huge and has the hottest water I’ve yet experienced in Japan. Location is close to the foot bath and lots of izakayas. Highly recommend Obama Style Izakaya around the corner.

A bit odd checking in to a neighbouring hotel, issues with door lock batteries soon overcome, it was a fabulous base for exploring the coast, inland volcanoes, food and especially the recently reviewed Tourist Information which surely was the best I’ve ever encountered.

The hotel is right on the seaside, and the rooms are large, but the facilities are a bit old. There is a little gecko accompanying you at night If you are here specifically for travel, this hotel is not suitable. If you are just making a transition, it is a good choice.

The hotel is just right next to the bus terminal. Though it’s old, everything is clean and tidy. The front desk staff is all friendly and eager to help.

It exceeds expectations for the price. And they assigned me the best room.

The hotel is in a good location. There is easy parking, boiled eggs, free water, and free ice cream in the onsen. The hotel is not very new, but the facilities are complete.

We booked 4 rooms for 10 people stays. So far my family enjoyed the stay here to experience the traditional Japanese ryokan with dinner and breakfast. Food are delicious as well

Staffs are very polite. Room is very big. Good service.

The management is inflexible. Because of flight delays, the hotel refuses to accommodate guests who are delayed by a day. The only option is to cancel without a refund and rebook. However, the hotel claims it's a problem with the system and cannot do this. This lack of flexibility causes losses for guests, which is very unsatisfactory. We hope the management methods can be improved.

Service was great, although I feel like the hotel is targeted at more elderly travelers. Breakfast was pretty and tasty. Onsen feels a bit unrenovated. The garden and the pond are pretty also. Would generally recommend, especially if you like to be thrown back to the 80s (but like in a good way).

This ryokan left mixed feelings. We decided to walk from the bus stop to the ryokan, and that was a mistake. Along the way, we passed dilapidated and abandoned ryokans, one of which still had a wreath from a funeral. What we saw was truly terrifying. At the ryokan itself, we were greeted warmly. They took our suitcases and took us to our room. They treated us to cold matcha and canelé. I was shocked...

Europe style room decoration. Hotel staffs are nice and friendly. Looking forward to watch firework soon.

We stayed with three generations. The building itself felt old, but it was kept clean and well-maintained overall, and there was no unpleasant impression whatsoever. The staff were all kind, and although we arrived very late due to a problem, they were incredibly considerate, arranging dinner for us. The portions were huge, and not only the seafood but also the meat was delicious. The only downside...

As other reviewers have said, you'll be more than satisfied with the service, food, and large public baths, all of which exceed the price. Although the wallpaper in some inconspicuous areas of the guest rooms is damaged, the tatami mats have been replaced and the bathrooms are clean. The room was also very spacious and luxurious. There is a wide selection of souvenirs, and there are restaurants, convenience...

Not bad, close to the sea, you can fish at high tide, the room is small

Although the facilities are a little old, I could tell they were making an effort to provide the food. The food was so good I couldn't finish it. It was delicious.

The hotel was aged I mean enough to makes me feel nostalgic. Parking is convenient and enough. I book the Japanese-Style Standard Room · 1 Room - It said just this (Some room might said no bath so I did not pick but I got no bath nor shower in room anyway - only their big public bath makes it a little adventurous for us for ones who travel with kids and didnot plan to do public bath which makes me...

By chance, I visited when the annual pottery exhibition was being held. The venue was about a 3-minute walk from the hotel, so I dropped in and had a great time. The food was also delicious! I had always wanted to try seafood when I went to Amakusa, so I was impressed by the sumptuous sashimi. The building is old, but the rooms were well-cleaned and I was able to relax with peace of mind. The hotel...

Very beautiful ryokan, nice and clean with a zen lush garden which you can walk around in the morning and evening. Meals were fantastic and prepared using fresh local ingredients, portions were great and filling. Overall, a very warm and memorablestay in Unzen!

No very good service during dinner

Everything was great! The dinner was wonderful, especially the beef and fish with mashed potatoes (a French dish). Everything is explained very clearly and politely! The staff is very warm-hearted.

Staff were super hospitable, breakfast and dinner were decadent and during dinner each dish/course was introduced to us in detail. The onsen was also super nice and relaxing with full amenities provided.

Nice hot springs, delicious breakfast and dinner

What a beautiful hot spring ♨️ hotel, clean and beautiful, great service, it is worthy of being in the top 100 Asian hot spring ♨️ hotels. I booked breakfast and dinner, and the dinner was great. This is my second stay

It was wonderful to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and watch the sun go down. ♪ The food and hot springs were both satisfying. ♪ The staff were also great. ♪

We were in the old building on the second floor and it seems they had some leakage problems. For instance, small flies like springtails were in the toilet room. I guess the new part of the hotel would be better. Also when the neighbours used the sink, the water came up in our sink. So I think in general the hotels plumbing could need some work. The rooms have a lovely view on the ocean.

It was a good price for a four-night stay as a solo traveller, but the view from the room and the dining options were a bit disappointing.

Not the newest facilities but everything was functional, clean and comfortable. Service was impeccable and everyone (from counter to restaurant) extended omotenashi. Dinner and breakfast were great, no wonder the multiple awards they won! Highly recommended!

Super good, I like the food, accommodation, hot springs and service staff. I will definitely stay here again next time. I stayed for two nights and it was very relaxing and comfortable. The sunset was also beautiful.

The building itself is old, but it has been well-cleaned and kept clean, the restaurant seems to have been renovated, it has a very stylish space, and all the food was delicious. Above all, the hospitality of the staff was amazing! We had a comfortable stay. The adorable cats were also soothing. As one of the eight sunset views, we were able to see a big, round, beautiful sunset. This is an inn that...

Nice town, but the hotel facilities seems not update to date.

The hotel has a great location, right near the bus station and the entrance to the Hell attraction. It's about a 10-minute walk to the town's main commercial area. The hotel offers bed-making service while guests are out for dinner. The room I booked had a private onsen (hot spring bath), which was very convenient. The onsen here is authentic, with a strong sulfur smell, and leaves your skin smooth...

Great room. Amenities lacking. Staff didn’t speak English at all.

I stayed here for my birthday trip. Right from the moment I was greeted, I was very welcomed and felt at ease. The hot spring was very pleasant, and the amenities were of good taste. The building and rooms were well-cleaned, and it was clear that they had put a lot of thought into it. Dinner and breakfast were also surprisingly delicious, exceeding my expectations! They had prepared a cake for me as...

The location is excellent, and you can walk to Unzen Jigokudani in a few minutes. The springs are acidic, simple sulfur springs, and sulfate springs. They have the effect of relieving fatigue and beautifying the skin! You can also pray at the hot spring shrine and Manmyoji Temple, which is very relaxing!

Super friendly, excellent rooms, excellent dinner and breakfast.
