Reviews
The location is definitely a strong point. It is within walking distance to Ipoh Parade, with several popular dim sum restaurants nearby and plenty of foot massage centres around the area. It is also very easy to get a Grab ride, and the popular eating street known for its local delicacies is just a short ride away or about an 8 minute walk.
We found the multiracial frontline staff to be friendly and efficient throughout our stay. I have seen some reviews mentioning that they were rude, but that was not our experience at all. We were treated well and everything was handled smoothly.
The room was clean and of a decent size. We stayed on the 8th floor and enjoyed a nice city view. The hotel itself does feel a little dated, but it is still comfortable enough for a short stay.
We skipped the hotel breakfast since there are so many food options around the hotel in the morning. Personally, I do not think it is necessary.
Overall, we would definitely consider staying here again if we are back in Ipoh.

Advantage: Will come back again
Disadvantage: The parking bay really needs expertises to drive the car. Vellfired and Alphard pls don’t get into the carpark. 🚫
Results: The room is clean really clean and it’s refurbished.
Highlights: Suitable for children and families
Summarize: It’s safe and clean. Suitable to bring our families together. The surrounding areas are convenient for eateries.
Cleanliness: 4.0/5
Car Park: 2.0/5
Safety: 3.0/5
The hotel is quite old, but it has been renovated. The room was clean and generally comfortable. The price is reasonable — RM250 for a room for three people and RM200 for a room for two.
However, there are some concerns. The room door did not feel very secure, as it seemed easy to access with a card. This made us feel slightly uncomfortable about safety.
The biggest issue is the car park. The ramps are narrow with sharp corners, making it very difficult for big vans. Even small cars may find it challenging. The parking spaces are limited and not easy to access.
Also, for those who are sensitive to smells, this hotel may not be very suitable, as there is a noticeable hotel scent in the room.
Overall, it is acceptable for a short stay because it is clean and reasonably priced, but improvements in safety, ventilation, and parking would make it much better.
The breakfast buffet were somewhat limited in choice and wasn’t impressive.
Overall we had an enjoyable stay.
Check-in is stated to be at 3:00 PM, and hotel charges are clearly based on a stay starting from 3:00 PM until 12:00 PM the next day. However, even after 3:30 PM, the room was still not ready. This delay was not communicated proactively—we had to repeatedly follow up just to find out when the room would be available. The late check-in, caused purely by the hotel’s inefficiency, disrupted our plans and caused unnecessary inconvenience.
The toilet had a continuous running water issue, likely faulty, and the constant noise disrupted our rest. On top of that, there was loud music every night, making it difficult to sleep
The hotel is extremely rigid about guests bringing non-halal food into the restaurant area. While I respect halal practices, the approach taken felt unwelcoming and lacking in sensitivity. If the hotel intends to enforce such strict rules without flexibility or proper guest guidance, perhaps it should be clearly stated upfront—or reconsider accepting non-Muslim guests altogether. Hospitality should be about inclusivity and respectful communication, not enforcement without empathy.
This is honestly the first hotel I have stayed at in Malaysia that felt so rigid, unaccommodating, and lacking in basic guest experience. A hotel stay should feel welcoming and well-managed, but unfortunately, this experience was the opposite.
I would not recommend this hotel to guests who value efficiency, flexibility, and genuine hospitality.

Recommended items:
Char siew bao (2.20RM a piece): soft and fluffy buns, with fragrant char siew. Is a must try, and I would go there just for these!
Egg tart: nice custard, nice crust.
What you might not like: Food is slightly pricey.
Service line a tad slow as older staff rule the selection counter, where everyone queues for their food. Billing is of course efficient.
Overall ambience is nice, high ceiling and airy, just no air-conditioning, but it's a plus point as your clothes won't stink.
Food is above average, some local signatures, but be sure to drink lots of water, the after food situation is you go thirsty very fast, for the additional food enhancers that we all know too well.
