Tune Hotel - Ipoh in Ipoh

Cleanliness is above average. Location is good. Car park is provided and need not worry about missing out on paying parking fee. Management is too rigid and inconsistent. I stay 1 night and extend another night by a new fresh booking. 1st day, no deposit is needed. Second day, I register again. A lady customer service told me to put down deposit. Policy just started today.????? It's kind of inconsistency and it's up to their mood. Customer service need to know their responsibility of the title they are carrying. Too rigid in allowing us to any available room despite we requested and were waiting there since 1pm. Sternly they replied "cannot" . Only 3pm and after and we must leave by 11am or else a penalty I f Rm30 will be imposed. 😵‍💫

Wonderful and it's under the new Mgmt which has renovated the rooms better.
Basic room amenities is provided, got water pressure is great, good air conditioning with ceiling fan, free basement parking. But the TV signal is not good lah. Overall: 8.5/10

We stayed in the deluxe double queen which is a family suite. The room is big & spacious, with a queen bed and a king size bed complete with all essentials & furnitures. Location is also great with access to food & convenience stores at a walking distance. Would love to come again.

Very budget friendly. I did a walk-in and room (two single beds) was RM73. It is recommended that you reserve through apps like booking.com for discounted rates and room availability (for its price, place may be fully booked if you walk-in) Place is clean and tidy. Recommended if you just need a place to stay while you run around exploring Ipoh for most of the day.

Possible turn-offs:
1. Small (cramped) room. But you get what you pay for, and room is functional anyway.
2. No windows. May be stuffy for some people
3. Bathroom (and toilet) door cannot be locked at all. It's just a swinging glass door. Go with people you can trust. XD
4. Only one room card. You have to take card with you when collecting deliveries downstairs, but electricity will cut off once card is removed.

Didn't face issues of loud noises or anything. There is an RM60 penalty for any late checkouts. Hotel provides one free parking for guests. Very near Ipoh Parade.

Edit: My room had wooden floor tiles. I think those with low reviews had the rooms with carpets. The beds and air-con in my room were in excellent condition too. Room 708.

This is a decent hotel, just a few hundred metres from the old town, with great dim sum next door and a 7-11 one block over. I did not find great coffee nearby - Story is across the street but is "temporarily closed" with no indication of when it might open.

The hotel is either quite new or has been refurbished recently, because everything in the room was clean and in good condition. The bed had some sort of pillowtop to make it super comfy. WiFi was fine. I had quite a nice view of the nearby hills.

The room, a standard queen, was on the small side. It had useful bedside cabinets, but no chair and nothing I could use as a desk. For an overnight stay, that wouldn't be a problem, but I was there four nights. I like having somewhere to put my laptop to use it.

The location is amazing.
In the heart of the city with lots of amenities around including cafes , restaurants and bars all within walking distance
Lots of parking space around
Fair price of room

Room was too small, maybe one of the smallest i have seen in my.life
