Nativ Lodge and Spa in Mahebourg

We were offered 2 nights at Nativ Lodge and booked for 1st & 2nd dec. But we unfortunately had to check out after 1 night. When we arrived at the Lodge at 5pm, which we informed, nobody was there except a gardener who then called the owner. Room was not ready so we waited 1hr. No snacks. No wine. So we went out. Dinner prepared by same guys who cleaned the room. They did their best. Never saw owner again. Bedsheets and pillows not clean. Towels humid and smelly We went out to buy pillow cases and towels. Breakfast was announced for 8.30am then 9am but nothing at 9.30am so we left. Both common & private pool not clean. This place is such a beauty. It's sad to see how neglected it is. I would not recommend it at all.

We only stayed one night at this place, and frankly, that was more than enough. The room was absolutely filthy. The taps and sink hadn't been cleaned in what felt like months. The door wouldn't close properly, and the floor was disgusting, covered in stains from squashed insects. To top it all off, the sheets were stained, and the room was teeming with an alarming number of mosquitoes and cockroaches.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE ! THIS LODGE SHOULD BE CLOSED WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT ! Went to several hotel with my fiancé but we seriously came across the worse like really worse experience ever at NATIVE LODGE. We booked a bed and breakfast to spend a weekend there, Unfortunately it was completely wasted to such an extend that we had to do an early check out. The owner NICHOLAS lost his bag and directly accused me of stealing same. To note that there are several camera at the premises but even though he didn't took the time to check same but directly accused his client. We authorize him to search our room and even our car to prove him that it was not me. When he didn't find his bag as excused he insinuate that I have probably hide it else where. He decided that he would later log a case with the police which we obviously agreed but later found out that he never did. So we were the one who went to file a case for false accusation. At the end of the day he demanded excuse and even propose us a free stay which we obviously refused as we are absolutely never going there again.

We really don't know why this hotel can be called a four-star hotel. The whole environment is worse than a farmhouse. There are mosquitoes in the room, but there is no mosquito net. You can only rely on electric mosquito coils to prevent mosquitoes. The quality of breakfast is too poor. There is no meat at all. The tableware is not washed after use. It can be left on the table for a whole day. The management is too poor. The picture is the front desk of the hotel. Isn't it a bit too much?

Very disappointing, room old place dirty, pool dirty food of bad quality. For me didn't worthy for the price paid I could have gone some place better with this price. Thier are lot to improve, the place is calm. But need renovation............
