Casa Italia is close enough to all the main sites to visit in Merida, while being far enough away to be in a quiet neighborhood so you can rest. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we loved the private pool and courtyard for relaxation after a long day of siteseeing.

The air conditioner was musty and loud, however, the rest of the stay was pleasant. The breakfast included is continental, and decent, albeit small. The cost for the egg option is fine at 85 pesos. The keys provided for the front door were confusing (all same shape) but luckily we did not need them late at night when the hotel is apparently unattended (which seems a bit odd? what if guests have issues or an emergency?). For these reasons, I would probably not return, given the sheer volume of decent hotels for similar or lower costs currently available in central Merida.

Not a good location but it's okay for a short stay. It's 3 blocks from paseo and way further to the central square

The property is well located near the center of Merida, just a couple blocks away.
No restaurant, just a small kitchen that serves breakfast, no lunch nor dinners. Also there's no room service.
The rooms are well equipped.
It has a small pool where you can relax, closes at 21 hrs.
Overall, it's a good hotel if you want something without any noise, however, it's just a room. Don't expect nothing fancy if that's your thing.

Short walk to La Casita Spanish school. Close to lots and f restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel.

The staff were excellent - helpful and friendly. The hotel was nice and it had a “trust bar” where customer serve themselves and record their purchase in a book to settle at checkout.

The room was clean and very spacious - but the shower was very weak and most days had no hot water.

The area was convenient but the paving was very uneven and it was very dark at night. But it was safe and quiet.

I’ve never stayed in this hotel. I have a friend who has a house nearby so we are lucky to get to walk. First time we went was for dinner and so beautiful. The food was great. We had a perfectly good experience with the staff. Yes maybe slow but just enjoy the experience and relax. After dinner we went upstairs to have drinks and listen to live music. The band was fantastic! Maybe on the pricey side, but it was worth it in my opinion.
Haven’t had breakfast there or been to the spa but I’m planning on going this week.
