Vila Perast Boutique Hotel in Perast

Despite the welcome being far from friendly, we stopped here for lunch as the menu was good and accommodated both adults and children. I asked for a coffee and was informed there was no coffee. Of any kind. We then ordered lunch. My husband and I ordered a Greek salad and a bowl of chips (to share) and my son a burger. Only to be told there were no burgers. He ordered a Club Sandwich instead. The service throughout was totally lacking of any warmth or gratitude and we felt entirely like replaceable tourists. The food arrived and the Greek salad had no olive oil or herbs and very little of anything else and my son's Club Sandwich had no bacon. When we asked for the bacon, the fattest piece of bacon was given to us which was inedible and it was almost entirely fat. This appalling lunch cost us close to €50. I would not recommend.

I tried to confirm this reservation for days. No one responded. I arrived on August 16, at about 7PM. My taxi could not get down to the hotel as there was a gate from both sides. I called. The young woman who answered was rude and unhelpful. I had to get upset in order to get her to come out. Once inside she was hurried and again unhelpful. Her English is poor at best. I was told the reception did speak English, when I made the reservation. She helped me with my bags the ran out of the room. No WiFi password, no showing me the safe. Rush Rush Rush. Wait Wait Wait. The only thing this place has is location. The attitude of those who work there makes it an awful place to stay. I strongly suggest another hotel. They finally got the AC on, after I’m too busy and Wait Wait Wait. I asked for the receptionist‘a name. She refused to give it. After a very long exhausting day all I wanted was to go out and have a bite to eat and come back to a cool room and sleep. DO NOT TAKE THE ATTIC ROOM UNLESS YOU ARE LESS THAN 5 FEET. OR LIKE BANGING YOUR HEAD. Pretty location.

The 2 points are for the breakfast, which was good, and the friendly gentleman who took us from the parking lot outside Perast to the hotel and back in a golf cart. The rest could have been improved: We booked the cheapest room because we are not usually very demanding - please don't do that! The two of us slept on a sofa bed, which was unbelievably hard, and we slept badly as a result. The bathroom was not cleaned or not cleaned properly: facial hair on the sink, dirty soap dispenser with someone else's hair, faucet. Definitely not worth the money.

Totally disappointed expectations. The room was clean but very simple. The bathroom was small, no bidet (I expected it abroad but in a hotel at this level!!!) the toilet leaked water (despite the technician's request for intervention, re-solicited at 9:00 and carried out exactly when we returned from the sea in the afternoon). Towel racks detached from the wall and left there and no support for hygiene products and a plastic shower tray worse than a sheet of ice in winter!!!

We stayed here for one night and our stay was marked by a series of unfortunate events from the moment we arrived.

Arrival Experience:
- Upon arrival, we parked our car in a car park outside and waited 25 minutes for a golf car, but it never arrived.
- Despite confirming with reception that someone is coming to pick us us, we were left to walk with our luggages for an additional 10 minutes as no assistance was provided.

Room Amenities:
- Upon attempting to take a shower, there was no hot water available.
- When trying to open a window for fresh air, the window unexpectedly fell on me, posing a safety hazard.
-One single bed cover was provided for a double bed. This means that me or my partner will be sleeping without a cover. No phone in the room to call and ask to bring it. It was too late and we were too tired to go downstairs and ask for another cover.

Customer Service and Response to a complaint:
- Upon reporting the issues to reception, we were informed that the entire hotel was experiencing a hot water problem, with no immediate solution offered. Hot water was only available the next day.
- Expressing dissatisfaction with the level of service compared to the €150 room rate, our concerns were dismissed, and a resolution was not provided.
- Despite requesting management intervention, I was advised that manager on duty doesn’t speak English and therefore will not going to talk to me. Our concerns were unaddressed.

Lack of Follow-Up:
- Since manager is not going to talk to me, I asked 2-3 times to record my complaint and contact me in the morning so we can discuss this. I said very clearly that we are not happy, this is really bad!!! I was advised that it will be discussed with me in the morning. But then, a commitment to contact us in the morning regarding our complaints was not fulfilled.
- During check-out, no inquiry was made about our stay, and we were simply told that golf carts is ready for us to bring us back to the car park.

It’s a shame that Hotel is located in a nice place but experience just was poor. I would never come back here!! There are so many hotels in the area, I strongly recommend you to choose another one!

On a positive note: breakfast was nice and bell boy Goran was very helpful
