Albatros in Ulcinj

Disclaimer: A very sentimental, therefore possibly not quite accurate review for some, while some will appreciate it exactly because of what it emphasizes...
I really can't remember giving a hotel a 5star review more heartfully and joyfully than now.
The SPLASH of its 'Made in Yugoslavia' retro style and its almost untouched originality and poise left me sppechless in amazement!
In times of constant rush, hustle & bustle, fast life, faster consumerism, experiencing the vibe of this hotel has been something unforgettable, breathtaking, almost like shifting to another dimension....
One more thing that makes this hotel a trully special, almost unique experience are the staff members who excel in hospitality, assistance & warm welcome.
The only reason I rated the room 4stars is the bathroom that could use a little renovation...but nothing serious... Everything is functional and whatever we requested was given to us with extra kindness and care.
My warmest recommendations, especially to people who want to experience something like a hotel-museum and don't care too much about minor setbacks this experience might come along with. For example, definitely not hi-tech oriented but for me, that was the point. 😎💪😁👌✨️
The location: PERFECT
Food: usual a la carte hotel food...nothing special but everything nice, tasty, something for everyone... Again, hospitality - perfect!

It’s a very, very old hotel so don’t expect anything fancy or modern. But it has quite a charm, it’s like time travelling. Perfect for a couple of nights, away from the crowd of the city center of Ulcinj.

The reception breakfast and restaurant are all great and everything is very close the rooms are very clean so the room doesn’t really matter compared to everything else

This hotel was built in the 1960s, carries a vintage charm that gives it a unique character you don’t often find anymore. While it’s clearly aged, that’s part of what makes it so special. The staff were exceptionally friendly, adding warmth to the entire experience.

At the back of the hotel, there’s a hillside densely covered with trees, it’s not an area you can walk through or explore, but the view from inside the hotel is beautiful and calming, like looking out onto a quiet forest. In contrast, the front offers a breathtaking seaside view, especially from the upper floors.

I stayed on the 6th floor, where the internet connection was a bit spotty, which actually encouraged me to slow down and disconnect. For those needing to work, the lobby is a spacious, quiet area with reliable Wi-Fi and plenty of comfortable seating.

Staying here felt like stepping back in time in the best way. It’s not a typical modern hotel, and it’s definitely not for everyone - but for someone looking to rest, reflect, and slow down, it was perfect.

İt s pretty good hotel except the rooms are old but i should say all of them clean for everytime

Especially employees are so kind and everytime ready for help Also food quality is quite good

İf you re not interested in luxury , it will meet your expactations at a very high level

One of the best hotels, cheap clean location prefect, No where in ULCINJ you wont find such a wonderful sea view room like in Albatros. The food is good, like home made. The fresh air from the pin wood and salty sea, the light of the sun all day are just heaven. When in Ulcinj, than only HOTEL ALBATROS.
