Location is excellent. A 3 minute walk to the Medina and restaurants. Easily accessible to the beach and anywhere else you would want to walk to in Essaouira.
As the pics show it's a tall building with no elevator. Our room was on the top floor. Hiking up all the stairs is not for the weak. There did not appear to be any rooms on the bottom floor so I don't think this place would work for anyone with mobility issues.
The staff were friendly and helpful, providing restaurant recommendtions. They carried our bags up. Complimentary breakfast was nice with the best coffee we had in Morocco.
Our room (7) was a king with a twin. Perfect for us traveling with our adult daughter.
What I really liked about our room was the separation between the toilet room and the sink and shower. The view was great with windows that open allowing fresh air and light.
The common area was inviting and comfortable.

A peaceful and tasteful Riad just a few minutes walk from cheap and easy parking at Bab Marrakech (€14 for two days and nights). Immaculately clean hotel and faultless WhatsApp communication from staff (thanks to Hamza!) from the second I made the reservation: Book direct on the phone, not on Booking.com to save 15%. There’s a great eat-in or takeaway pizza and pasta restaurant about 25 metres away too, if you’re tired after a long day of touring. Book a room here without hesitation.

This was an incredible riad in the old town of Essaouira. Super easy to get to, quiet (but centrally located) with amazing hospitality and such a great vibe. Kind people and we would highly recommend visiting if you find yourself in this destination.

Staff are really helpful and will help with any questions you have or things you may require. Nice location near to all the stuff you would want to visit in the medina. Rooms are adequate, breakfast is one of the better included breakfasts we had in Morocco. There is a mosque very close but it never woke us up.

Beautiful gem in the middle of the Medina. Our two rooms were beautiful with local decorations and windows. Ask for a room with a window if possible. Some rooms have just inner windows. It was a low season and very quiet. The breakfast is delicious and plenty. Atmosphere really creates the vibe. When outside streets may look scary this is your refuge place you can actually call home.
They also were very prompt with email responses and organized a transportation from and to Marrakech airport. Thanks for the good experience.

This is a beautiful Riad in a quiet area of the medina. The attention to detail was excellent, the breakfast delicious. We booked a superior room which had 2 windows and was a good sized room. There were drapes which kept the early morning light out. The staff was excellent, but a special thank you goes to Mohammed who spent over an hour fixing a travel mishap we were having. Thank you Mohammed!!!!

Awful food. After coming back twice to say they could not make the Pastilla nor Rice dish, our water arrived. The bottle had been previously used, filled to the brim, and we speculate it was not filtered. 15 dh.
After 25 minutes our food arrived. The Spaghetti Fromage was simply spaghetti with grated cheese on top. No sauce, onion, anything. Dry, tasteless, and late.
Without doubt the worst meal I have ever bought.

Good live music, super friendly staff. Spaghetti bolognaise was good and filling, couscous was tasty. Decent sized portions. Great atmosphere and cool art on the walls and tables.

I visited here last week on a day trip to Essaouria. It's in a little square just off from the medina; I used GPS to get there. It majors in burgers, wraps and things. The staff speak English and indeed are English, so there's a guilt factor involved - why did I go to Morocco to visit an English restaurant? am I turning into an ex-pat? - but you just have to learn to overcome that. I have no idea if you're supposed to tip or not, so I just rounded up to the nearest 10dh and ran away before they could offer me change.
I had a vege-chilli burger with two cups of pretty good milky coffee for 80dh (60dh for the food, 10dh each for the coffees), about £5.70. The burger was pretty big, there was a tonne of salad, plus more salad, it was my only meal that day and I didn't feel hungry the next day. You get crisps instead of chips, e.g. potato crisps, Walker's / Lay's crisps.
It's across from a couple of other restaurants. There were a number of stray cats, but they deliberately ignored me in a particularly cat-like way. Towards the end of the meal a local band popped up at the end of the table and started playing, and I deliberately ignored *them*. NB There's also a La Cantina in Marrakech, but it's totally different.
