Our stay at Gokarna was underwhelming. We had selected it based on their website that included a description of biking but when we arrived, there was no organized biking activities. The rooms were fine but a bit overpriced (although the beds were very comfortable). The food was unremarkable and expensive by local standards. Breakfast was not even set up when we went at 7AM. The pool was on the cold side and then charged 1800 rupees extra to use the sad little jacuzzi in the change room. There was a very noisy wedding on site the night we were there that kept us up. It can be challenging to get a taxi to the location. The golf course is beautiful though.

It was pretty good in Nepal; the air was fresh. It was near a golf course. There were lots of monkeys and deer. I didn't like the breakfast, but it wasn't bad.

Second review. This one for the 8848 restaurant. My husband and I died there twice, and had drinks there tonight. It was a lovely spot with very good food. Having spent almost 3 weeks in India and Nepal we were glad for the continental menu options. The service was top-notch. We were particularly well served by Anupa. I think that was his name! He used to work in Malaysia and Oman. He was cheerful and helpful. Had excellent English and was able to advise us on the dishes. One night we had the shrimp pasta, and the next night I had the chicken with wine. Both hit the spot. I really really appreciate the good service.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gokarna Forest Resort. Excellent service, beautiful location within nature, very clean, well-maintained, spacious and comfortable rooms, tasteful decor, delicious food and drink. We have been back many times and will continue to visit this place!

Nice and spacious room in a quiet and peaceful environment. Location was about 10 mins drive from the Buddha stupa and 20 mins from the airport. Staffs were very polite and helpful, always greet us in a smiling face. Will definitely go back again.

The hotel is located in a golf course, which is also a natural forest park with deer and monkeys... The hotel staff from the front desk to the restaurant are very helpful, the breakfast is quite rich, the facilities in the hotel room are relatively old but very clean... I would like to stay in this hotel for a few more days

Generally ok but not worth to pay for the price $180 per night . Did not change towels daily and have to use back and difficulty to close and open the doors. The food is fantastically nice but we have avoid to take the fruits as the flies were resting around and on the fruits at fruit preparing, outside of the dining building.

Super sweet location. Must go to place if you want to encounter deers from close distance, wild roaming deers on golf court and 3 domestic deers from room view. Super nice service. Dinner is bit underwhelming but breakfast is good. Nice heated indoor swimming pool. Affordable golf rate. They also have high chair for kids
