The front desk staff were very welcoming, the rooms were clean and tidy, and the hotel facilities were complete.

The swimming pool of the hotel is the highlight. You can choose your own breakfast. American and Indian breakfasts are both very good. The hotel is affordable. It would be better if you ask the guests if they want a non-smoking room~

We made our trip to Nepal with our 3 months old boy and stayed in this hotel for 13 days. The best part that we got is the respect within the staff. I last visited in October 2023, so this review reflects an earlier experience. The entrance to the accommodation may be slightly tucked away from the access road. Helpful and friendly staff was what stood out in particular! 

The service was excellent. The breakfast was also plentiful and thoughtful. The hygiene was good. It was also very quiet. Breakfast was accompanied by eggs to suit all needs, including fried, boiled, and scrambled eggs. Hot milk was also available. It's a 10-minute walk from the tower.

The room was a bit small, but fully equipped and well-lit. Hot water was plentiful. The location was about a 20-minute walk to the stupa. The hotel is situated on a slope in a residential area. A taxi driver would need about a 10-minute ride. Breakfast was plentiful, but it was a Western-style breakfast.

A lovely hotel with the most friendly staff. Very welcoming and helpful in all aspects of making us feel comfortable. One recommendation is to make sure that you get a room facing the courtyard as the sound proofing of the hotel is not great and the neighbours can be loud pretty much the whole evening. Absolutely fabulous hotel. We booked for a couple of nights and then it became our home away from home. The room is very clean and the landlord is very friendly. Such a cozy little place with the friendliest staff and the perfect location for a one night layover since the airport is close and yet you are steps away from Boudhanath Stupa. The neighborhood is lively with lots of shops and restaurants but the hotel is in a secluded place.

Great place to stay if you’re in to luxury and antiquity. The building has a lot of history , and its features are well preserved. The rooms are clean and tight. Loved the freshness of diner and same counts for breakfast!  The Nepali local coffee in the French press was tasty. The staff is wonderful and well mannered ! A true delight to stay here !

Very disappointed with the service, there were no hot water in the toilet, (broken/not working), then AC stopped working at evening and despite complaints they didn't change room straight away, rather kept us in the same room till next day while they tried to fix the AC. Hotel is far from Town centre (Thamel). My bad as I booked wrong location. Room and bed are comfortable. Bathroom is a sore as use of shower curtain on 2 sides caused the bathroom to be wet most time. Water cannot be regulated and is burning hot all the time. It's a nice budget inn. About 10 min walking distance to bouddha stupa the staff is polite and nice. It's located on an intersection, so it gets lil noisy but quites down around 9pm.

The restaurant on the roof is not open yet. But you can go out and have a look. In general, only good impressions from staying in this hotel.

This hotel is close to the Boudhanath Pagoda and convenient for taxis. It is cheap, next to Shechen Monastery, and the food is delicious... I stayed here for a few nights. The service is very good. I recommend booking a king-size room, which is newly renovated!

It's quite good, seven or eight minutes away from the Great Pagoda. It is a chain hotel in Nepal and has basic guarantees.

Hotel located in an historical palace of KTM, next durbar square. The staff is kind and helpful. The atmosphere is positive. Our room was at the last floor, spacious but not too clean in my opinion (carpeting, some insects...) but it's ok for Kathmandu. We were walking around the area and popped in for a snack and drinks. Had a chatamari, a classic Nepalese dish, which was delicious. The staff were polite and courteous. Nice place to sit and people watch. Thought the prices were very good value. Spoke very good English.

This is a must stay for anyone who wants to stay in a historic building, steps from Durbar Square. But the real appeal for me was the wonderful people who work there. They always had a kind word, offered suggestions and help whenever I needed it and made me feel like a part of their family.

I was upgraded on the day and was able to stay in a very nice room! It is a very atmospheric hotel in a building that is hundreds of years old. It is right next to Durbar Square and the view from the rooftop was wonderful. It was a little disappointing that the only amenities were soap, but I would definitely like to stay at this hotel again.

We had a really nice stay. The whole crew was really friendly and very helpful. We stayed here before and after our hiking trip. It was also no problem to store some stuff for the time between. This is my 2nd stay at Tibet Guesthouse and I will definitely return. The hospitality is 2nd to none, staff are friendly and the rooms and serviced and cleaned daily if you like. Loved the hotel. Amenities were excellent. Huge bathtub, hair dryer, spacious bed and room. Location is superb. Near to all Thamel area but on a quiet road. Courteous staff. Nothing to complain. Only issue is lift is not working in the hotel but I choose to ignore that due to other positive points. Last but not the least, absolute value for money.

It feels like the hotel once offered a premium stay, but over time, maintenance has been neglected, and it shows. The chair needs repair; the overhead lights and bathtub drainage were not working properly; and amenities such as handwash and shower gel should have been provided. Location-wise, it is in the center of Thamel and by the road, so vehicle and crowd noise are noticeable.

Staff behaviour was good but their lift was not working as our room was on fifth floor. Restaurant food was worst and very expensive

I am a Canadian that was in Nepal when the pandemic started. While frantically trying to get back to Canada my friend and I needed a place to stay in Kathmandu. We ended up staying at this hotel for two weeks and I truly don't know what we would've done without them. The staff made us feel safe and cared for during such a stressful time. Also the food is awesome!! Should've written this review 4 years...
