Reviews
It had a cozy mountain hut atmosphere, and all the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. There were several types of breakfast to choose from. The masala omelette and chai were excellent. The Nepalese breakfast my husband ordered was also delicious. The shower had a very local feel to it, and shampoo and conditioner were not provided, so women who are not used to traveling might be a little hesitant to use them.
But even with that in mind, it was a wonderful hotel that I would definitely like to stay at again.
1. The location of the hotel is very good. It takes two minutes to walk to Durbar Square. It feels good to be close to the Royal Palace!
2. The service attitude is outstanding. Although the accent is difficult, their attitude is so good that you can make an alarm clock to remind you to tip!
3. The breakfast is incredible! (As shown in the picture) The front desk helped with car rental and laundry, and everything was great!
4. The hotel itself is very retro, or a very ancient building. (As shown in the picture)
The following shortcomings...
5. It’s a bit noisy, but there are many motorcycles in the whole city and the roads are crowded. The hotel can be said to be in a residential area (the palace is also there), so the car rides at night and wakes up in the morning.
6. When I came here, it rained for a while every day. I asked the front desk to help me wash my clothes in the morning, but they were still not dry when I came back in the evening. I am not sure whether this is because of the delay they gave me or because of the weather.
7. Hot water is available at night, but the water temperature is not too high for taking a shower in the morning, which is okay. There will be a power outage for two consecutive days. It should be regional in the city, not his own. Then there will be a generator chug.
8. There is no shampoo, toothpaste or toothbrush. I bring my own. I stayed in two hotels and it was like this. Maybe it’s their domestic industry standard? Will try another one tomorrow.
I go out to play by myself and feel more free. It may feel different from traveling with a group of people. Just take it as a reference!
