It's suitable for vacation, in the forest, the air is very good. Unfortunately, I'm here on a business trip. The facilities are not new, but they are clean and tidy. But if you don't drive yourself, the transportation is a bit inconvenient. When I left, I asked the front desk to help me call a car.

We only stayed there one night as it was very convenient for our purpose. The lady at reception was very friendly and te room was spacious, light and clean, with comfortable beds and a good shower.

The room is generally clean and the equipment is relatively old. I personally prefer hotels with bathtubs and balconies, so I always book a room on the first floor. The room space is just right. The hotel has bicycles for rent and the outdoor environment is very good. Therefore, Apeldoorn is an alternative hotel when I come to Apeldoorn many times. .

The hotel located in the forest, definitely is very quite and good for weekend.

Only stayed for one night and arrived very late didn't see much of the facilities. But it was good that check in was available till late. Breakfast area clean and good variety of food.

The student trainees did a great job, better than most commercial hotel chains, which would be lucky to have them. You’ll enjoy the extra-spacious rooms no matter who you are. The surroundings are bucolic and peaceful.

Very clean rooms & bathroom, which is a nice exception in comparison to all Fletcher hotels in the neighborhood, nice area around the hotel, very kind personel including students in the restaurant during the breakfast.

Very very small room,it was a very hot summerday and there was no aircondition. Small window to open and a tiny ventilator on the room. Far under the level to recommend this too another person who is travelling allone or wants too stay here..

The small room and shower in de bathroom was under a sloping roof. That's why it wasn't possible to stand there.

Fantastic hotel! Beautiful location, beautiful rooms and wonderful hosts! They even went out of their way to give me a lift when my rental car didn't work out. I would gladly stay here again. Located only 2 miles from the wonderful railroad museum as well!

We only stayed one night. The room was fine, nice and spacious and clean. And the breakfast was also well taken care of. Parking late at night was a bit problematic. and an extra sentence to fill the 200 words otherwise the review won't work. Strange!.

Nice hotel, great staff. Being an old hospital, the rooms are a bit of a strange configuration (at least ours was). The hotel is located in the restricted vehicle / pedestrian area of town so transporting luggage is a bit more of a chore. Nice stay overall, and good breakfast.

Location unique and my small room was very good against a good price.

Our group stayed here for 5 days and the hotel is wonderful. Lots of history and character, very clean, and the location in old town was perfect to enjoy the shopping and restaurants. The staff were very professional and helpful, a special thanks to Donny for her care and attention to our group, and the breakfast each morning was really good and enjoyed by everyone. It is an historic building, very authentic, that was very nice. But because of that, it was noisy. The city of Deventer is very nice. There was no restaurant in the hotel-building. Only for breakfast. There was a Fletcher-offer : 3 course diner included, and lower price to stay, but because of the lac of a restaurant, they could not give me the offer, they also did not lower the prise.

Nice hostel in a very safe area. Bike storage on site via a bike shed which is locked at night. Probably a 30 minute walk downhill to the centre. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I had to look for a stay late night and the friendly lady at the reception was more than willing to accommodate me. I’m really grateful for that. The bed was comfortable and the overall place was clean. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic - I loved the bread.

Although it is located in Arnhem, it still gives a feeling of being in the middle of the woods. The room is clean, pratical as to be expected from a youth hostel. Beds are better than in other youth hostels and the social area felt very welcoming and homely. Staff was friendly and professional. So far the best youth hostel we have stayed in within the netherlands.

We had the most magical time here! The property and the surrounding park is incredibly beautiful. The restaurant was delicious, we loved every meal we ate there. The staff were wonderfully kind too. The room was a great size and the bed was really comfortable. We have nothing negative to say, we loved everything!

The location is beautiful. Super that you can just walk into the woods with several well marked routes. Ample spacious free self parking. The building is very nice. The rooms are rustic and have character. The miss parts are details that lessen the feeling of luxury and bring the value for money ratio out of sync.

Stayed two nights at Hotel Trix as part of a tour of the Netherlands. We chose it primarily because of it's proximity to Burgers Zoo, just a mile up the road. We had a very good stay at the Trix hotel. The room was nice and spacious, the hotel close to nature reserves. Food was delicious. The dinner came quite quickly, though the other day we ordered a soup for lunch and we had to wait for certainly 40 minutes. We had to attend a funeral in Arnhem and were only just in time because of the long waiting.

Great place to spend the night. As we needed to be in Arnhem the next day in the morning we chose this hotel. We did not eat in the restaurant as it was late for us, breakfast was very good! Rooms are spacious and have comfortable furniture! The staff/owners are friendly people! Also very good price quality!

The hotel and restaurant staff was impeccable; everyone was friendly and professional. Our room was clean. However there is a bit of a damp smell coming from the bathroom and the bed matters was soft, which for us means not a good night's rest. The breakfast was rather modest. The location of the hotel, and the bus connection to the center of Arnhem are both very good.

We were made very welcome and shown to a pleasant, good sized room, which had the welcome bonus of a kettle and mugs. The hotel is in a quiet location close to the Open Air Museum. The very good breakfast is brought to the table, the rolls and croissants were hot. There is no lift and the stairs are narrow with a sharp turn at the top.

Limited transport to the hotel

It’s a great hotel, very spacious rooms, nice interior design in the main entrance and areas, the whole vibe is luxurious and modern. The beds are comfortable, the personnel is friendly and professional, the food is really good. Then the area around is so beautiful, definitely go to park de Hoge Veluwe and take a bike, or go for a hike. Stunning!

I feel I overpaid for the room based on the following: Room was not clean. Sheets had dirt on them and the walls in washroom area were greasy. Shower was missing glass and it made a mess while showering. No breakfast was included even at this room price. The breakfast buffet was amazing! 10/10

Super dated room. Bathroom looked like it hadn't been renovated since the 70s. The room smelled of sweaty feet and wouldn't air out. Popcorn ceiling and walls with no decorations made it look slightly more cheery than a jail cell. Hotel Papendal is a no frills contemporary yet comfortable basic stay hotel used for the Dutch Olympics team. Amazing value, but you get what you expect. Food in the bar wasn't great, but plenty of places nearby to visit instead. Would recommend for a stay when visiting the Airborne Museum ‘Hartenstein’ in Oosterbeek.

The hotel was lovely, conveniently located next to the food hall and the city centre. There was a parking garage and the rooms were spacious and spotless.

We stayed here for the first time and had booked a four-day package including breakfast and dinner. As far as we are concerned, the hotel is a big 10 in all facets. Great place for a lunch. They had a fair amount of choices in the menu and the food was good. Temperature inside was a little on the warm side, but it was a hot day. Great atmosphere and even better surroundings.

Very friendly staff and the food was perfect, location is beautiful.

After a wonderful walk in the forest we came here for a well deserved lunch. Friendly service and really nice food!
