The staff are fantastic at this hotel but overall it is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. It is a motel, not a hotel. It is being refurbished right now but it needs to be gutted. This morning when we woke up we had no hot water. Every night I struggled to get to sleep because the bedding is thin. The towels are also poor quality. Picture a US motel with outside corridors and that is what you are getting. It is old, cold and not in a good location. It is up near the northern part of Gouda close to the motorway.

A spacious room for one person on a business trip. Everything is up to standard and the staff are helpful. The location is quite inconvenient unless you have a car or call a taxi, but this is the only hotel in this area.

The window shade was broken. They did not
give us another room. When we check in they told us that if we brake any thing we will have to pay for it. So as soon enter the room and saw tthe window shade was broken, we went back down to report it. Never before a hotel told us this when checking in. Strange?

Campanile Hotel Gouda offers a decent and comfortable base for visiting the city. The rooms are clean and provide the necessary amenities. While the decor might be a bit dated in some areas, the overall service and comfort were good. The location is convenient enough, especially if you're arriving by car. It's a reliable option, especially considering the price point. Staff also speak English well and very helpfull.

Good hotel, though the balconies were quite dirty. The carpet runner should have been changed a long time ago. No complaints about the rooms.

as for a 3 star hotel it's generally ok.
but the minus is that no one informed us that there was no elevator and we got a room on the 3rd floor.
think that for example a person with mobility disabilities arrives, or a woman with a child in a baby stroller

The receptionist only said that the elevator was not working and did not offer anything.

Not quite what we hoped for.
I made a mistake in booking a hotel further out from the centre. This is a hotel situated on a business park so there is no local charm.
I have mobility problems and the hotel was a nightmare, with badly done, retrofitted ramps in doorways.
The power point in the bathroom blew the room electrics when we plugged in the hotel's kettle. We were told it couldn't handle anything more demanding than a mobile phone but there was no warning to that effect.
Though the room is no smoking there were ashtrays right at the outside of the door so we still had to face the mess and stink.
The staff were helpful and there was a shed where we could lock our bikes so that was a plus point.
No USB outlets in the room so we needed a stock of adaptors to deal with phones, power packs, etc.
Breakfast was good.

Please note: by American standards this is not a hotel. This is a motel. The doors to the rooms are on the outside. Other than that, this place is nice to stay for short lengths of time. The rooms are very small with no microwave or fridge. The bathroom was clean and had the basics. The beds were comfortable. The lounge and bar were nice. All of the staff was super friendly and spoke English and German in addition to dutch. If I could make one suggestion, please include a few more towels in the room. Other than that, it's a basic place to sleep with a safe parking lot that requires an entry code at night. It's also about 45 mins from schipol and not too expensive.
