Hotel Santa Maria in Rotterdam

Hotel cancelled today my CONFIRMED reservation done 8 months ago for OVERBOOKING. This is simply ridiculous and highly disappointing! I never met such an unprofessional behaviour with ZERO care for customers. They simpky don't care! Shame on you!

My stay at this hotel was profoundly disappointing. Upon entering the room, it was evident that cleanliness standards were lacking; the room had not been vacuumed. A dysfunctional television loomed ominously above the bed, covered in dust. The sofa was dirtier than one would find in a train station.

The bathroom was particularly troubling, filled with pervasive mold that emitted a specific smell throughout our entire stay, creating an unsanitary environment. We found the window left open (the only proof that the room was ), resulting in a chillingly cold room. The hotel's cost-saving measures were apparent in the barely functional heating system; even after four hours, the room remained cold.

Unfortunately, when we sought assistance at the reception regarding the heating issue, no one was available. Contrary to the advertised tranquil experience, the shared toilet was far from it; upon inspection, it was filthy, necessitating our own cleaning efforts. Furthermore, the bed was equipped with uncomfortable, broken mattresses. Adding insult to injury, they charged us €197 for New Year's Eve, categorizing it as the worst hotel experience of my life.

The only aspect I’m thankful was their readiness to move our luggage to the 3rd floor. Thank you

Really bad experience. We were overbooked after our arrival. Very rude, arrogant and impolite owner.
