Euro Hotel Centrum in Rotterdam

I just want to start of by saying I’m nowhere near picky and we definitely got what we paid for for the low price of €50. Upon arriving, we thought the hotel looked pretty old which isn’t an automatic turn off. Our room looked quaint so we were happy with it! Later that night we tried turning on the tv realizing the TV didn’t even work. Again, not an automatic turn off. We can live without a TV. I thought it was a bit humorous so I looked at the reviews online and every single review had...you guessed it...bed bugs. After reading that we started to notice small bugs on the bed and just flicked them off trying not to freak ourselves out. Then the larger ones started coming out on the pillow and after talking about it we decided to check out. What I thought was weird was when we were checking out, the front desk agent didn’t find it surprising at all that we were leaving! Almost as if this was normal. All in all, just expect the bed bugs.

The only good things about this hotel is price and location. Staff is fun, but not overly professional. Rooms are stuffy and there's lots that need to be fixed. Elevator is broken, key card system didn't seem to work, table lamps in the room without a wall socket to plug them in, etc. This place has potential, but desperately needs a make-over.

It's really basic. It stems from the late sixties I guess and nothing much has been done since then it seems. Good beds though and (and this I find not very often) a really good cold shower! My room was really warm and I could not turn the heater down it seemed. Good for a cheap crash, but I wouldn't recommend it for a weekend with your love for example 😋

Absolutely disgusting. Do not stay here unless you want to take bedbugs home with you. Found them in the first room after 20 minutes (3rd floor) on both beds and in the towels. Alerted the reception. They seemed surprised but offered me another room right away. Moved to new room and went out. Came back later and found bedbugs in the bathroom and on the wall by the beds. Did not stay the night, managed to find another hotel in the area. How this place is still operating is beyond me. Should have read the reviews of this place before booking.

This hotel was very old, all furnitures were old. No daily clean and toilet running out toilet paper. Breakfast food not enough, boiling eggs running out and no refill, cakes running out and no refill, cereal running out and no refill, simply took the empty bottle away upon asking. Many butter, jam and peanut butter on the table but not many bread in basket. Only positive points were the nice staffs and convenience location. Not recommend to any one.
