Anne&Max Boutique Hotel in Utrecht

Charming, great location and excellent restaurant

This review is about the hotel; the restaurant was closed at the time because of corona. Doesn't get any better than this when it comes to location. Nice old building, but modern inside. Spacious, bright rooms. Very friendly staff, but because of corona staff was only available during check-in and check-out (morning and late afternoon) so services were a bit limited.

Great hotel with some quirky extras!

After checking in and taking a ride on the world's slowest elevator to my room (which they call suites), I was pleasantly surprised to find out the room really was a suite.

With the bed in the center of the room, no real bathroom (bath tub in the room, plus a walk-in shower in the other corner) this is not your standard hotel room. The bed was great, and everything was as you should expect from a 4 star hotel.

Everything? Well, just a couple of minor idiosyncrasies. The floor mat (which doubled as a yoga mat I'm told) was lying loose on the floor, which sent me surfing across the floor a couple of times. The lid on the battery compartment of the TV remote was loose, causing it to drop regularly. And the breakfast was a bit underwhelming.

And last, the hotel is situated right next to the (in)famous Dom church, which does make itself heard at all hours (damn those church bells!. But when you book a room at a hotel called Dom that's something to be expected I guess.

But all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Dom hotel, and can heartily encourage everyone to book a stay there!

We we're Geuests in the Esecutive Suite 11, with a beautifull View in the Dome Form the private roofgarden, and also from the awsome bath tub.
The suite is lovely designed and we fealed absolutely well. All people are verry nice and gentle!

Simple is a great restaurants, we tried the 5 courses menu. All the dishes were incredible tasty and well prepared. Interesting use of different ingredients and presentations. The wine selection also is really good one, accordingly to the dishes that you will try.
Because it was my birthday, they surprised me with an extra sweet treats. Fully recommended if you want to celebrate something special.

Great dishes! Likeble wines to accompany them. Nice ambience. Staff is friendly. The pace of dinner is just right.
Also worth mentioning: clean facilities

It is a really elegant hotel. Rooms are impressive. And the hotel is centrally located.
But the wc in my room was really small and even clostrophobic (due to the historical building I guess) and the room was a little bit cold.
You don't have to bring your yoga mat, there was one in my room with instructions :)
