Hotel staff is very friendly and service-minded. In terms of the room, the shower was leaking quite a bit, which led to a wet floor. Other than that, everything was great and we're likely to come back in the future.

Nothing to complain about, expect beds, could be better. After 3 night my back hurt a but. perfect location, very helpful staff, the room looked as pictures. And they had sho horn, verry nice! Breakfast superb!

The place is near to Utrecht Central station which is very convenient for those who are taking public transport. The room is big and clean. The services from the staff is also very good.

Convenient location with close proximity to the mall and station. If you drive, the cheaper offsite parking is for EUR 35 with about 5 mins walk.

About half an hour walk to the city centre, or a 10 minute walk to a bus stop. Very comfortable hotel, a business hotel and mid week will have conferences and meetings. Didn't use the bowling alley

The hotel is located deep in the jungle, built by the river, and the environment is particularly primitive The parking lot is large and you can enter and exit by swiping your card It is convenient to go to the city center and surrounding towns

Excellent guest services, friendly and helpful staff accommodated our requests and had great attitudes. The hotel entrance is down one level inside the mall across from the train station and requires key card access. Other than the mall being very crowded most days, location is super convenient and easy to find. Nice, quiet lobby and seating area.

Stayed only for one night. But the bed was comfortable and had all the amenities that you would need (e.g., kettle, hair dryer). The high ceiling made everything seemed a bit bigger. We also had our breakfast there so we didn't need to worry about food before our train back to Schipol Airport. It was small, but had all the needed items for a continental breakfast. Very well located as it is just in the shopping centre connected to the main train station; building and rooms with modern design ; spacious room ; delicious breakfast though not many selections; to be more picky, there are stains on the wall and bedsheet in my room.

The room was spacious, had a private sauna and hot tub, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great too. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

Great hotel. So close to train station and concert hall which was reason for my visit with my daughter. Enjoyed the pool very much.breakfast was great. We had drinks in the bar on the evening .staff were all very friendly. Would definately go back again. Thank you to everyone there.

Trying so hard to be ubercool and in many ways it is. I liked a lot of the art and style. Breakfast was odd though. Random sugary cereals but hot breakfast only has one of - beans, mushrooms, sausages, bacon and rotate it per day. On the other hand vodka and tomato juice available to make a Bloody Mary?!?

The coffee machines stop working after couple of persons using it. There is no computer available to use in case you need to check a train ticket when you have a broken phone by accident. The ladies at the front were not helpful when I requested a computer, they got easily stressed and I need it to fix my issue by myself.

Excellent hotel with excellent service. Cadius from front desk is very helpful and provide lot of advice for our family to travel in city. Everything is perfect in hotel.

Transportation is very convenient, buses and trains are just downstairs from the hotel. 20 minutes walk to Utrecht city center. The downside is that there is no closet.

Everything was just great! Cleaning could be better. Vacuum the flor and picking dirty papers or glasses

It's far from the city, so you can only drive by yourself. Parking is available in front of the hotel, and everyone skips the parking fee.

The hotel is very nice. Rich breakfast. The room is big. Toilets and showers are separate.

The location is excellent and this was my second time at this hotel. The service has downgraded with 1 ply toilet rolls - you’re better off to buy your own. They don’t give a water bottle anymore, not even a complimentary one that you can refill later. It is only for select members apparently. You can’t expect basic toiletries from them in case you’ve forgotten - just the basic any hotel would do...

Stayed here lots of times mainly for location and for cost. Serving area though needs enlarged as there is always a Que at any time. This time my table was gone by the time I returned!!!

Centrally situated, room is a bit tight, there is no fridge in the room. Breakfast time is especially crowded. Overall, a nice boutique hotel that I will return again.

Perfect stay at this beautiful hotel We enjoyed every aspect of our stay ar Grand Hotel Karel V! It was relaxing, quiet, a beautiful setting, fantastic location, excellent service, impeccably decorated and maintained and overall deserving of the 5 stars! We had the opportunity to dine at the Michelin Star restaurant Karel V, and is was absolutely outstanding as well! We look forward to returning.

Lovely Stay A warm welcome on arrival. Lovely room in a separate building to the main one. Nice gardens and view from the room. Access to the spa included, but the pool was out of use both days. Charged extra by accident when checking out, but recitifed when phoned.

Very nice and "venerable" hotel but also a bit "old fashioned". Great rooms, even better restaurants and breakfast! Restaurant prices in the Michelin -＞ $$$$. The location is great, right on the edge of the center.

The hotel is super central in such a great location. Staff were lovely and very nice to us, giving us extra coffee and pillows as needed. All in all nice stay would stay again.

The room didn't have an air conditioning system which made it difficult to sleep throughout the night as it was quite warm. Also, when we opened the windows the noise from the outside (people partying or chatting) was too much. The locker wasn't in working condition which created problems in securing our valuables. Overall, it was not value for money

The location is great, about 10 minutes walk from Utrecht Central Station, next to the Queen's Store, other large shopping malls, shopping streets, and a few minutes walk from the central church and the city canal. The hotel has a rich variety of breakfast, the only drawback is that there are steps from the door to the front desk, which is not very friendly to tourists with large luggage.

This is a nice hotel with fantastic staff, who cannot do enough to meet the clients' needs - they really went above and beyond to make this a pleasant stay for me. However, the location of the hotel is not fit to host guests. The noise from the train tracks, particularly on the city facing side, is incredible. Excellent service and room was clean. Big TV, fridge to cool my own goods and very comfortable bed. Safe in the room and wi-fi quite good. Storing my suitcase after checkout in reseptionist controlled room and not just a room everyone can enter is a big plus. Simple breakfast that would need a better selection. It gave us a perfect rest while working at night.

The furnishings were ok, but could be more modern.

The bathroom was stinky and not well clean. We had to buy something for the smell. The bathroom is very small and the sink is in a bad position for tall people. Everything else is ok. Near the hotel you can find 74 and 77 lines to reach the city center. It takes 15 minutes.

Surprised with extra costs when booking. The email showed that it was less than they claimed. But yes, no one speaks Dutch in the Netherlands anymore. Only poor guest worker English. Paid and otherwise fine room but I will not come back here.

The hotel has several parking spaces that can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. Breakfast cannot be taken in the dining room due to Covid. So the bags were delivered at the door at the right time (with enough breakfast choices. In every way this hotel is recommended ?

A normal hotel. Not better or worse than others. Interesting design in the room, high ceilings, adequate Breakfast, good location. Of the minuses: very old shabby corridors and the furniture in them; and hearing from the street like glass in the Windows not; a strange smell on the 1st floor (so decided not to dine in the hotel restaurant, disdained); no room for Luggage is absurd, we left the suitcases...

Simple hotel for a night, located near the highway. Room felt a bit outdated. Breakfast was fine.

The hotel offered an overall satisfactory stay. Breakfast was acceptable, with a reasonable selection. The location is a bit far from the city center, which may be inconvenient without transport. The room was fine and met basic expectations. Staff were polite and adequate. A plus point is the availability of a car park, which is convenient for guests with cars.

Standard Holiday Inn experience that you come to expect the check-in staff were very friendly and I found that this room was particularly clean compared to previous holiday inns I’ve stayed at the staff were very helpful when I asked for recommendations in the local area 

All good. We extended our stay here, as location wise, very communal with our car.

The location is really good, if you want to go to the centre by car or a day to Amsterdam. Service is 24/7 and fast! Shoutout to Trent for the excellent breakfast :)

An absolutely stunning hotel! The experience was flawless from start to finish. The menu is refined and delicious, and the service is beyond exceptional with a highly trained, kind, and attentive staff at all times. The bathrooms were spotless, and the towels wonderfully soft. I truly enjoyed my two day stay here and will definitely come back soon.

It's a bit of a walk from the town centre, but it's in a nice residential area and is a very decent hotel.

Perfect location. Nice and cosy atmosphere. Comfortable bed. Perfect shower. You will feel the silence in the room. Attentive and patient staff. Nice bar and restaurant. Note, the breakfast is not as usual. As it comes freshly prepared, expect waiting time before you get it. It usually takes about 15 min before you get the food, however all is delicious.

A good hotel on the pricier side, but still okay. We had a small room with a window out into the back of the building. It was very quiet and we slept well! We missed some more space for hanging our towels. The hallways are quite dark, the steps narrow. One big plus is the location which is perfect for exploring Utrecht. Also the staff is friendly and will help with any questions.

Nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and the bed is quite comfortable. The continental breakfast is tasty and generous. The staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. They helped me printing documents and reserving a taxi. The location could not be better, both close to the city center and train station.
