Reviews
Several toilets didn’t even have toilet seats. There was a strange, unpleasant smell throughout all the floors. The kitchen was by far the worst part — hundreds of food flies were hovering everywhere. It was in a complete state. There was visible rust and mould, and when I went to use the fridges, both were infested with flies and mould. For a place that expects people to prepare and store food, this is a serious health concern.
The overall hygiene standards were shocking. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking. This was, without question, the worst hostel I have ever stayed in
Unfortunately can not recommend this place.
The only good thing about it was WiFi and location but the room, bathrooms and kitchen were neglected. The room was dirty and we found bedbugs. We requested a vacuum and a change of bedsheets that however didn’t help. The kitchen is a mess, always dirty and all the kitchen utensils other broke or overused. Rotten bags of food unchecked by staff therefore lots of cockroaches around and the bathrooms also quite bad, soap dispenser broke and leaking and can’t even use it.
We checked in and unfortunately decided to check straight back out. After seeing the condition of the shared kitchen with dead flies everywhere - we didn’t even feel comfortable going to look at our room.
For the price being charged, the standard of cleanliness was completely unacceptable.
Thank you to the gentleman on reception who processed a full refund for us promptly. He didn’t seem surprised by our concerns, which suggests this may not be the first time similar complaints have been raised.
I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere before booking here.
For me, doesn't deserve the low reviews. Yes it's a little dirty but nothing crazy. For a cheap hostel, it's good. No, I didn't see any bedbugs in my bed and the sheets looked clean. Overall it's totally fine, like obviously not a nice hotel but who cares. Front desk staff were very friendly as well and tried to give me the lowest price possible. It is pretty loud though but that's because everyone is just having a good time and generally just being happy.
CONS: Some curtains would be nice for some privacy. The room was not that clean and it was quite smelly. Some shelves would be nice in the shower. I don't think there are enough shoer and toilet for that many people.
the water is cold as well…impossible to take a shower! reaaaally unexpected.
it smells outside the gate of the place cuz many people pee outside!
the worst backpacker experience ever!
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
Not worth the $$. I've eaten better at the alley ways!
all the staff is super rude. serive was awful!! food is expensive dish was small.
If you want to wasting your money and time, go this horrible place.
Food was average at best lacking everything that makes Thai food incredible, they even went to great lengths to use Trident sweet chilli sauce. Stay away, you'll find somewhere much much better for a much much better price.
