Good strategic location . Despite we arrive late, the hotel receptionist are very welcoming and friendly.
Room is a bit small can’t open 2 luggage bag fully . Bed is too soft , not really good for spine support. Other than this overall is good. Breakfast also very good.

Unbeatable location, in a shopping centre which connects to the train station. Room is clean but only basic amenities are provided. Overall a good stay.

Well located, it’s connected just next to the Oslo Central Station. You do not need to exit the building from the Train station to get to the hotel, it is located within the building block which also consists of a mall. Shops are plenty around the hotel and it is within walking distance to Karl Johans Gate, a popular shopping area in Oslo.

The hotel is located within the same building as Oslo Central Train Station, which made it incredibly convenient—especially when traveling during winter, as there’s no need to walk far after arriving by train.

Wonderful location!
Right smacked above the Byporten mall and Oslo central station! No frills hotel stay!
Price per night is value for money!

Would recommend getting breakfast included as breakfast is at Egon restaurant - awesome ambience and interiors!

Staff are friendly and helpful, would defo be one of my choice for future visit to Norway!

I recommend booking with breakfast included; there's a great variety and the food tastes authentic. The breakfast restaurant itself is charmingly designed like an old train car. Plus, the hotel's location is super convenient, with the subway and train station right outside, and the city center just across the street.

I stayed in the Junior Suite at Scandic Byporten and had an excellent experience. The location is perfect — directly connected to Oslo Central Station, which makes traveling around the city and to the airport incredibly convenient.

The suite was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the large windows with great city views and the cozy seating area, which made the room feel more like a small apartment than a hotel. Everything was spotless and well-maintained.

The staff were professional, welcoming, and efficient. Breakfast was another highlight — a wide variety of fresh and tasty options, including local specialties.

Overall, my stay was smooth and relaxing. The Junior Suite is definitely worth it if you want extra comfort and space in the heart of Oslo. Highly recommended!
