Not only is the location convenient, but the staff are friendly and courteous, and the rooms were kept very clean.
Hotel itself seems rather old. The bathroom especially felt like something out of the 1980s. It was small and water pressure was weak. Also there was no bath mat provided, nor any tissue paper, and no amenities like toothpaste toothbrush or shower cap.
As we had paid for a larger room, our room was spacious. But it was noisy from people shouting in the street below even at late hours. Also the hotel did not turn on its central heating nor air conditioning. So the room felt stuffy and you would have to open a window.
What saves the hotel is the excellent service. Staff were accommodating on requests we made, including for a takeaway breakfast box on our last day as we were taking an early train.
1.No phone in room to call reception or restaurant. Have to go downstairs every time for any requests.
2. Single blankets. There is no double blankets even though room is double bed. We had suite but no double bed duvet.
3. Breakfast end time 9:30 or recommended 8:45 on weekends. Also Only 1 hot dish in vegetarian so reviews that say good breakfast does not mean good for vegetarian
3, No toothpaste or slippers in room. Such basic amenities are
4 No proper heating, the nob was not working so they had to give separate heater
5. Finally, oddly no room cleaning on day two even we asked and told during check in. They simply said it c was booked in the system but they were not sure why it was not clean in the end. Just provided towels as it was already past evening.
