Love the hotel and its location. The breakfast was wonderful and abundant. Just wish the room was a lil bigger and the position of the bed was not facing/against the wall which made movement very limited

I used the gym, pool, and sauna every day, at different times of the day, and it was never too crowded. Finally, this hotel has one of the most incredible breakfast buffets I've ever experienced

The room was a bit small; once I put my suitcase down, it felt like there wasn't much space to move around. However, the hotel's location is excellent, right out of the central station.

Conveniently located a couple of mins walk away from Oslo central station. Heated towel rack in the cold weather was a big plus. Hotel seem a little dated

The hotel is right next to Oslo Central Station, only a five-minute walk away. The rooms are new and well-equipped, and the service is excellent. I highly recommend staying here. The breakfast is also really good!

While I understand this may be due to the infrared sensor system, it was still disappointing, especially as we had bought sashimi and wanted to chill it for supper, which slightly ruined our plans for the evening

Facilities: This is a chain hotel, very good. It's a prominent black high-rise building, and the shuttle bus to and from Oslo Airport stops right at the entrance. Cleanliness: Clean and hygienic

Among hotels of similar price in Northern Europe, this one offers the largest rooms. Jinjiang Group truly understands Chinese travelers' needs – there's a kettle! The room was clean and comfortable

Airport: There's a hotel shuttle bus that drops you right at the entrance. It takes about an hour and costs over 300 NOK, which is significantly more expensive than taking the metro

Environment: Central location, very close to the cruise terminal and City Hall. Service: Good, with a 24-hour front desk

Over was a good location, we were housed across the street and there was very heavy rain. Flooding made it difficult to cross without getting wet and dirty. Maybe take a look into way to fix drainage and mud problems.

Simply wow!! The scenery from our balcony was just spectacular, like a wintry fairyland covered in thick blankets of snow. A fantastic hotel, would unequivocally recommend it to anyone staying in Oslo!!

Good location on top of mountain and have fantastic night view of the whole of Oslo city.

The location was perfect and everything was clean and available in the hotel. There was self service for breakfast which was well organized. The location for the hotel was also good for a good hike up and down.

All was fine even great beside the basic maintenance. AC control & Bathroom light switch were defect during the whole stay (3 nights).

I was very fortunate to meet a first lady who was also staying at the hotel when I checked in!

The bath products are byredo, which smells great! There is also a speaker in the room, which makes me feel like I'm back home. Because I left too early, I didn't enjoy breakfast

I stayed at Sommerro for four nights from January 8th to 11th, 2026. The hotel has a retro-elegant design style with a charming old-fashioned feel

If you want to go out, there are also many restaurants nearby, making it a convenient location

Decor is excellent and the theme of the rooms is cohesive and smart. Excellent gym but pool was an additional cost, unless you have a suite. This was a disappointment and gives the place a cheap feeling

The restaurant serves stunning food and the burger is probably the best burger I have ever had. Small supermarket across the road in case you need that midnight snack

Well located, it’s connected just next to the Oslo Central Station. You do not need to exit the building from the Train station to get to the hotel, it is located within the building block which also consists of a mall

Despite we arrive late, the hotel receptionist are very welcoming and friendly. Room is a bit small can’t open 2 luggage bag fully. Bed is too soft , not really good for spine support. Other than this overall is good

The hotel is not far from the Central Railway Station, walk for 5 minutes. The transportation is convenient, and most attractions can be reached on foot. Breakfast is very rich, afternoon tea and dinner are very average.

The price is reasonable, or rather, cheap. The only downside: The rooms weren't cleaned once during our three days. Perhaps we overlooked this when booking and should have requested it

It's OK, the location is OK, dinner is available, there is a supermarket and bus stop at the door, and the subway to the airport is 500 meters away.

The windows provide excellent soundproofing which made for restful sleep. There is no air conditioning which is the norm. There is a lounge on the 8th floor available to everyone for a change of scenery

Perfect Location. You can be in the midst of it all but still have a quiet ambiance. Service overall had been fantastic. I will definitely come and stay upon my return to Oslo. My home away from home.

A Design Haven in the Heart of the City Oct 2025 • Solo Tucked just a block from Karl Johan high street, the Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz was the standout accommodation of my Scandinavian journey

Centrally located modern hotel with an on-site restaurant and a tram stop a few steps from the entrance. Our room, as the hotel, was well designed, both pleasing to the eye and restful

Missing a few places to store clothes (a couple of small shelves, one larger one but very high) but you can't have everything! Room had both iron and kettle which was great

I would recommend a room on the courtyard side if you are sensitive to noise because nearby bars are quite loud. But the glazing is excellent and it didn't bother us

Together with my wife decided to choose this restaurant for her birthday romantic dinner and it was good choice. It was calm, very cozy environment and very interesting, delicious food with appetizing design

The hotel is located near the pier, so there aren't too many tourists, making for a relaxing environment. The surrounding area is quite quiet, and shopping is convenient even if you're not into luxury goods

There are also a few good restaurants nearby that I recommend trying; you can see them as soon as you arrive at the hotel entrance

There is free coffee and tea around the corner from the reception, and they have a small reception area with some seating to you can get a drink or just wait for friends to come down to the lobby

The breakfast, which opens at 6:30 is a dream! One of the best breakfasts I have seen in many years of traveling. The room are good sized, but that obvious depends on what you ask/pay for

There are so many different places to eat and a wide variety of food to chose from. The hotel is staffed by very nice people who speak a variety of languages

There's also a few convenient stores and supermarket nearby, it's not that difficult to find food, water or any other amenities easily

If you open the window, bugs may come in, so I recommend asking reception for a fan, which they kindly provided. Also, you can’t lock the room from the inside, which felt a bit unusual, but I still felt safe overall

The location of this hotel is incredibly convenient and strategic – perfect for food, shopping, and getting around

The bed could be more comfortable, and one downside is that the room has no air conditioning. This makes it better suited for autumn or winter stays – during spring and summer, it can get very hot

Now for the highlight – the breakfast is absolutely amazing! From smoked salmon to caviar and other delicious options, it was so good I didn’t even feel like eating lunch afterward

We spent a weekend at Soria Moria Hotel at the end of May, and overall I was very impressed. The highlight of the stay is definitely the view - absolutely stunning from the hotel, and especially from the spa and sauna

There are just a couple of small downsides: the breakfast selection could be improved with a wider variety of food and drinks, and the swimming pool temperature was a bit too cold for my taste

Wonderful stay at Soria Moria Hotel in Oslo. The facilities are excellent, great spa, relaxing pool, well-equipped gym, and a fantastic breakfast with plenty of fresh options

The bed was so comfortable after a day of skiing. The bus to the ski resort is right infront. It’s incredibly quiet area beautifully overlooking Oslo town. Arrived by taxi but I think you can also take the tram

One thing I really appreciated is that the spa is available without needing to book a time slot, which is quite rare compared to many other spa hotels in Oslo and makes the experience much more relaxed

Let me add to the glowing reviews here. We had a fantastic stay at Lysebu. We took advantage of the indoor pool and sauna and had a delicious dinner at the restaurant

The location and facilities - particularly the restaurant, pool, sauna and outdoor spaces - were perfect for us to unwind and slow down in our short break away from the city

response: I respect differences in culture but my Norwegian host (a professor in his 60s) was infuriated when he learned that you guys charged separately for swimming pool use

Hygge atmosphere in a truly beautiful place. The staff were very kind and polite. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had, with great selection. However, the room was not heated properly

It is super cosy and charming in super quiet surroundings. Super close to the Holmenkollen stadion (e. for the biathlon finals), and less than an hour from leaving the hotel to the center of Oslo

This was the best hotel I stayed at during my recent 20-day trip. It’s perfectly located with stunning views of the city and right next to Oslo Winter Park, making it an ideal choice for skiers like me

The hotel has an amazing view. The terrace is a perfect place for enjoying your coffee. Dinner in the restaurant was good (à la carte) and breakfast with a large hot and cold choice either.

The scenery is amazing! It is also very comfortable to work overtime in the common lounge at night. The room is very small and there is no elevator. It is also a very historical hotel
