Everything is good except the space. They squeezed in the rooms so small that they have put the chair on the top of the wardrobe to save the space for the guest to walk inside the room which was 2 steps for me in X and Y axis and that was it. There was a window but when I opened it it was the lobby of the floor of the hotel room.

Front Desk service was poor, expected you to realise that registration was via a computer terminal. Room was adequate and hotel very easy walk to the terminal. Evening meal was ok - salad was swamped in creamy dressing. Posted breakfast times were inaccurate.

This hotel has two different wings, an old and a new building. The better rooms are located in the new building with good beds. The old building has the lobby and restaurant which is more convenient. Will stay here again if boarding a cruise is my priority.

Unbeatable location just beside the train station and walkable to the shopping centre and old town. The service was excellent, from the check-in to the breakfast to the check-out, everything was settled swiftly. The room was amazing and the location is extremely convenient. The only downside might be the lack of amenities but that should not be a problem if your aim is to tour the city.

The location quite far from the train or metro station and the road some part is cobble stones so it difficult for the one who traveling with luggage

We had a lovely stay at Scandic Torget! The location is so convenient as you are within walking distance for many tourist/sightseeing spots. Tour busses usually do pick up on the same street as Scandic Torget so that is super convenient too! Only thing is that on the weekends it can get a little bit noisy from midnight to 4AM. But overall we had an amazing stay and would recommend staying at Scandic...

The room was much too hot for my liking while sleeping. There is no thermostat that I could find. There was a busy road outside, so opening the window to cool off let in a lot of noise. Everything else was excellent and I liked the cheerful bright colored decor in the hallways.

Nice hotel. Farther from the airport than expected however, and much farther from town center. A 40 min tram to town and 40 min return trip stopping 18 times was not pleasant to do 1-2 times per day! Delicious breakfast was included.

The room types are quite confusing. The one we booked only had two options: newly renovated, with a strong smell but no windows that opened, or no smell but only a bathtub and no shower. The location is quite convenient, but there are often construction vehicles parked downstairs for hours without turning off the engines, which is a bit noisy.

Just near by the Bergen station is so convenient to us to catch the light train. And the room is so big and comfortable that can open two big size suitcases and still have enough room for walking. There are free coffee and tea in the first floor and that help to fill up hot water. The reception are all friendly.

I had a dream holiday to Norway for my 50th and this was a wonderful hotel for my nights in Bergen. It is fairly central and close to the beautiful views of Bryggen. The staff were lovely, and the breakfast was the best I had my entire trip, it had a great selection and was cooked perfectly. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed with a small group (four) in two business rooms. Appreciated the extra space and facilities. Breakfast was excellent, catered for vegetarians (but would like to see veggie sausages in future please). Common areas of hotel were excellent including lobby and lounge. Cleaning was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Room was too crowded with furniture for a room of that size. It didn’t need the desk. And the wardrobe was hopeless for accommodating much stuff. A second rack for a second bag would be better or a wardrobe where you can accommodate a suitcase. There was an unsightly dent in the bathroom door that needs fixing. Location is the best cos it’s closed to shops, fish market, park n public transportations esp so easy to get to the airport. Room is dark but with window n it’s very clean n recently renovated. Breakfast is best with variety n tasty. It’s really value for money.

This is the hotel I recommend most in Bergen. It is so comfortable to stay here. The 1500 includes 4 breakfasts. It also gives a family room with bunk beds and a double bed. The mattress is very comfortable. The bathroom tiles have floor heating. The breakfast is also delicious. The hotel was built in 1918 and has a history of more than 100 years. The interior of the house is still so comfortable.

For me and my wife location was everything. Hence I’m rating this place 5 stars. The place is literally 2 minutes walk to Bergen world famous fish market. Rooms are a bit small and ours at least, windowless but we knew that well in advance during the booking.

The room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. I had paid extra for a studio with sofa bed as myself and granddaughter didn’t want to share. The sofa needed pulling out and making up on our arrival. Furniture had to be moved to allow this as the room was so small. Not much space to move around. Slightly disappointed by the size of the room when the sofa was out.

The hotel appears to have been renovated recently and is simple and clean, OK if you're on a budget. Comfortable beds, but a small room in my case. The bathroom was smaller than a closet. Breakfast was adequate, but not at the level of other hotels in Bergen. Location, however, is excellent, easy walking distance to lots of activities and popular sights in the city.

I had to wait for my room check in as the housekeeping was understaffed, but the friendly front desk handled very well .. Good location and breakfast. Unfortunately, the staff is not always present. You are prompted a short message telling you to go to another location for any inquiries. This would have been a good information before reaching the hotel without being able to enter it. We were unable to pay at checking which would have helped us not wait for them at checkout and then have to rush to the bus station....

The hotel is located in the old town, but the rooms are quite old and dated. We booked two rooms, both on the third floor (the equivalent of the fourth floor by Chinese/US numbering). Access was via a very narrow, winding wooden staircase, which made hauling luggage up incredibly difficult. I strongly advise guests with large suitcases or elderly travelers to avoid this hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful; simply ask, and they'll gladly assist. The location is excellent and the bathroom is adequate. However, the bedding is not very comfortable. There’s a fan in the room, but there’s no air conditioning, so the room can still be quite hot when the temperature outside is above 25 degrees.

Clean and comfy beds with a great lounge which came with a free modern coffee machine. But there was no lift which was not too good and the fire alarm went off at 6am meaning everyone has to evacuate.

The biggest drawback is that there is no elevator. It was sometimes inconvenient that there was no one stationed there. Aside from that, there was free drinks, it was easy to get to, and there was a supermarket nearby, so it was comfortable.
