Hotel Vice-Rei in Porto

Amazing place and lots of good restaurants around. Walkable to the city center. Loved my stay here!

It was a place I got in a hurry, but it wasn't bad. The towels and bedding were all good. There is a large restaurant building right around here where you can try a variety of foods. There is also a McDonald's in the Decathlon building and a supermarket in the basement.

We liked the hotel. The guys at the reception are friendly. There is a balcony, although there is no kettle. The room is a bit small, but not critical. The bed and bedding are fresh and good. The mattress is comfortable. There are sockets next to the bed. Very close to the center, we walked. The breakfast is normal, but there are no eggs, which is a minus, but we ate our fill of sandwiches, yogurts, and cereal. Advice for those staying, there is a huge food court a few steps away with a choice for every taste and budget. We went there for dinner every night to eat local seafood. It is called something like mercado bom sucesso

the location is good; the room is clean; the service is good; and the bathroom is also clean; but the quality of wifi is bad.

Nice old fashioned hotel with close location to everything. Value for money.

Friendly staff, clean room and good location

Hotel Vice-Rei is about 10 minutes away. walking distance from the Casa da Música metro station, so getting to the old center of Porto with its main attractions (and the airport) is not the slightest problem. Right behind the hotel there is a very large hall with several dozen bars (restaurants) open until 24:00. So there is no problem even with a late dinner :-)
The room we occupied was large and well-equipped. The only thing missing was a cordless kettle (but that's just a detail).
First of all, the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable!
We also enjoyed breakfast. The selection may not have been amazing, but everything was tasty and fresh. There was something "sweet" (traditionally for those from the south of Europe, i.e. sweet rolls, jam) and something "salty" (traditionally for those from the north of Europe, i.e. cheese, cold cuts).
As for the hotel service, it was fantastic! Both at the reception and during breakfast. And the staff cleaning the rooms, who can be seen every day and make sure that your stay is also a success!
So from our experience, we recommend Hotel Vice-Rei!

The service was very good, excellent cleanliness and the workers were very friendly and cordial.
The location is a little far from the center but there is a metro station nearby that made it easier for us to get around, there are also bus stops just 1 minute away that go to the beach near the Hotel.

Parking is convenient and breakfast is simple.
