Helpful and courteous staff at front desk.
Excellent location. Nice and quiet. Rooms are quiet. Beds are very comfortable.
Breakfast buffet delicious with good variety of options.
Some of the breakfast staff were not very helpful, not bringing coffee and tea even when very obvious that we had been sitting at the table waiting a long time.

Very nice hotel with comfortable rooms and amenities. Breakfast was good and location is only 10 minutes walk from Trinity and downtown areas.

Very chic hotel. Had no issues with the hotel, I would say it overly met my needs, and was clean, hospitable and very decent. The staff was extremely well presentable. Would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

We stayed at The Alex on the first two nights of our honeymoon. It was a great location, beautiful room, and very comfortable. We were given early check-in and greeted with a lovely dessert since it was a special occasion. No complaints!

The Alex is OK, and was as good as we expected. Only 2 complaints, and one of them is my own fault. You seem to be understaffed. Only one person at the front desk with several customers milling about, needing help. Difficult to find someone to help with luggage. Second item, my fault. I left 2 packages of insulin (I am diabetic) in the fridge in my room, and they are probably useless now. They're fine if kept refrigerated, but go bad quickly when not. If by chance someone on your staff found them and they are still cool and damp, I'm willing to pay for expedited shipping in dry ice. Otherwise, please donate them to a health service organization that may be able to use them. In any event, I'd be happy to return to The Alex.

Our 2 night stay at the Davenport Hotel was extraordinary. Our fist day in Ireland they made us feel right at home by allowing us to check in early. Their full Irish Breakfast was scrumptious, to say the least. They were very accommodating when we needed to leave our bags after checkout for a couple hours. Our last day in Ireland they made us feel just as welcome after our cross Country adventures in the Beautiful Ireland countrysides. Their location to Trinity College is only a block or 2 and it's centrally located to many shops, Pubs, Restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. We walked allot and enjoyed their location. Their was always a cab sitting just outside if you wanted one. We had very friendly visits as they drove us to our chosen destination. The bus service was also a Block away if you wanted a closer experience to Dublin life, which we also experienced. Hands down we highly recommend staying at O'Callahan Davenport Hotel. It's our #1 choice when we come back to Dublin.

I was here last weekend with my teenage daughter. The lovely, and very helpful Paloma, had very kindly arranged to have a card, and a little cake left in our room for Georgia's birthday. She was absolutely delighted with this. Huge thanks!
We felt so welcomed and at home during our stay, and can't wait to return!
(My only small "complaint" was lumpy pillows! Kept waking me up!).
