Martina, Tammy and the rest of the staff made it a pleasurable experience

Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Also close to a Tesco Express, Donnybrook Fair, coffee shops and lovely pastries! Thank you Martina and Tammy for making our stay great!
23.10.2025 Scott
Very convenient Tesco Express nearby, serviceable and restaurant around the corner, though better meal options easily accessible nearby. It was a great location for accessing Dublin City center and UCD, both easy bus rides or about 20-30 minutes enjoyable walk away.

PROs: Good location, clean room, friendly staff, and the newly renovated bathroom was very nice.

CONs: In level 1 room you can hear the floor above walking around (light thumping), room has a bit of a damp smell to it, and using the electronic lock on the doors was finicky and frustrating a couple times.

Overall a good spot and would recommend/revisit.

A helpful welcome
We are so grateful to Martina for her help upon our arrival. Even though check-in time was at 2:00, we were on her doorstep when she arrived for work very early in the morning. She kindly allowed us to drop off our bags, and when we came back later in the afternoon, she had readied our room and moved our bags upstairs, allowing us to immediately crash and sleep off our jet lag. Thank you Martina!

My room at Donnybrook Hall had a very comfortable bed and modern bathroom, kept very clean by staff. They were great at communicating, and the neighborhood was pretty, peaceful and safe. Very easy to get to central Dublin with transit close by. I highly recommend it for a place to stay in Dublin.

Amazing
The staff was incredibly friendly. Room was nice and tidy; the bed was very comfortable. Great location and bus services just down the street.

Everything was great. In a lovely area,Just around the corner from Herbert Park which is a lovely green area in the city well used by people. Very easy to find, and ideal if staying overnight while attending the Aviva. The gentleman who met me on arrival was very friendly and very helpful and really made me feel at ease. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and secure staying here. The room was spacious with a good size bathroom with good lighting. The bed was so comfortable (I even said it to the lad when I was checking out how great I slept). Will definitely be looking to stay here for all future overnight stays in Dublin. Thank you for a great stay.

Went up for the weekend with my mates the staff are incredibly friendly and very welcoming, it is in a nice area that’s not very busy at night and the facilities were very clean I will happily stay here again

The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with a very nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. The downsides were that the heating was only so-so, making it a bit chilly at night and requiring a thick blanket. Also, there was no elevator, making it inconvenient to carry luggage.

We loved the food and exceptional service, while we were with our clan with Bridget and the Trafalgar/ Brendan Vacation group! I will definitely go there to eat again when I travel to Dublin again!

This place was absolutely great! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They would always ask if you needed anything and weren't afraid to make small talk. They were genuinely nice and it wasn't very forced like it is in other countries such as the US. But overall, one of the best resteraunt experiences in Donnybrook.

Nice and quick, you can see them cooking the food. Decent portion sizes, there is a small seating area so you can eat in the place if you do wish to do so.
