Chajkovskij Design Hotel in Moscow

The bad reviews are completely false and based on someone basically trespassing and filming. This hotel is clean and modern. It's affordable so you get what you pay for. The front desk is friendly and speaks English. The area is really nice and has plenty of lovely affordable mid-class restaurants nearby. 25 min walk to the tourist attractions.
A little bit of street noise. It's a little difficult to find because it is 4th floor (there's a lift) in an apartment block above a restaurant but we found it in 1 minute. I have attached a picture of the entrance to help.

I rarely write reviews, but I haven’t experienced such a genuine and warm care from staff even in luxurious resorts around the world. The beautiful lady at the reception, Olga, turned this 3star hotel in the most memorable place I stayed so far. I reached there late in the evening looking for just a bed to crash on for the night, having a bad cold and no voice left from coughing. In a matter of minutes I found myself in my room with plenty of things to help me recover, medicine - milk and honey - camomile.. All the sweet care that only family can show, without asking for it. I’m truly touched to know such people are out there, doing their very best not in the name of a job, exceeding it in so many ways. I hope the management knows what a unique and valuable person is representing them. Thank you once again Olga!

Very friendly mini-hotel in a fantastic location. We stayed there several nights and loved it. Yes, there is no breakfast room - but one of the best bakeries in Moscow just downstairs at street level. Yes, there is no integrated restaurant - but very good places nearby at Patriarch's Pond. Metro is a little far (Mayakovskaya), but Bulkakov museum and Patriach's Pond around the corner can be explored very well walking.
