Holiday Inn Belgrade by IHG in Belgrade

The hotel is very well located for business matters and it has a big capacity. It is very convenient for me personally, so I might be coming back, however the truth is it is much worn out. I stayed in the premium room and there was nothing premium about it. Major renovation is needed. The gym and spa are also in very bad condition. The breakfast is okeish.

This was my first time staying at this hotel. As it is a Holiday Inn, I did not have high expectations, but it was okay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was relatively small, but still okay. The bed was not very comfortable, however. I think it was a bit older, so did not have much back support.

The bathroom was a bit old, but still clean and fine.

The breakfast was fine, not a large selection, but decent enough.

The gym was quite small with older equipment. The 'Smith machine' did not really work well as there seems to be no lubrication between the poles and the bar. Rather, it scraped along it when you moved it (which made exercises on that machine not appropriate). And their selection of dumbbells were limited.

In terms of location, there is nothing to eat in walking distance, so you need to take a taxi elsewhere (I went to old Belgrade that has a lot more options...New Belgrade is too residential). For taxis, the Pink Taxi app works quite well. But you still need to pay for the taxi (via card) in the car after the ride.

Overall, I would recommend staying in a hotel in old Belgrade rather than New Belgrade as that is where all the sights, shops, and restaurants are. The hotel is fine, but the location makes it not really nice for visitors.
