Where to stay in Slovenia

The apartment is nice and big with everything that you need for a longer stay. It has lots of windows and a balcony that you can sit out on. It is up a few flights of stairs on the top floor of a large house. It was quiet and comfortable. There was free parking on site. It is a little way out of the main Bled center.

I’ve reserved this cozy apartment for good price and amazing location. But unfortunately got sick with Covid and reported this to the owner. I haven’t expected to get 50% back for late cancellation, but next day i woke up and saw the message that the owner cancelled the reservation with a possibility of full refund. Also wished me to get better. Surprised by such an amazing attitude! Thank you Megi

Comfortable, very clean and spacious apartment for two people, quiet and well-stocked. Yes located near Bled but away from the chaos. Bled can be reached in a few minutes, as can a supermarket, petrol station and bakery. The owner Megi was very kind and welcoming.

Beautiful place with a lovely host and really nice family! Close to Bled (~20 min walking to the city center) you are located in a scenic landscape, you can enjoy nature and the romantic city. Thank you for having us ❤️

Very nice place! Kind owner, room was clean. Nice and big bed. Towels are included. We had our own bathroom and kitchen including everything you need to cook a basic meal.

I really liked staying at Rudi Hiti guest house. Super-nice and welcoming owners. I felt right at home and safe. My room was comfortable, bright, and clean. We stayed at one bedroom apartment named Bled. It’s cute with a touch of white + dark blue. The bedroom had Lake Bled painting on the wall facing the bed. So when I was lying on the bed, I was always facing the beautiful Lake Bled featuring the Bled Island. The breakfast was marvelous and worth my money. Will definitely repeat the stay if I happen to be landed in Ljubljana again

Friendly staff , excellent buffet breakfast and dining area, very easy for free parking , lovely house. Stairs. Within walking distance to old town but also easy drive into town for hourly parking if wanted. Easy access by car to other sites in Slovenia

Excellent place for short term. Common use bathrooms outside rooms with squeaky doors awkward in the middle of the night. Neighbours need to pick up after their dogs so tennis don't step in the mess!

Not fancy, but clean and nice. Walking distance to city center. Fully equipped kitchenet - good for long stays. Very nice breakfast included.

It suits all needs. Close enough and far enough from all activitees the City offres.

No ventilaltion or window in the bathrooms. Its terrible when you have to take a poop !!! It stinks all around the room. The only solution is to keep . open an entrance room

I really like it, Nice hotel, the staff is very welcoming and helpful, the breakfast is good and healthy with some local things, just next to the bus station to get to the town centre. The oner offered us bikes, so we get around the town. BTC shopping center is very close to the hotel. A very good experience.

Very friendly and helpful family B&B. They took care of me during a flight cancellation, and helped me call and find a best option for me. The food is great and the room service is awesome also. I could only highly recommend to stay here. Hvala Vam!

Very familiar B&B. Although it is not located in the city centre it becomes really easy to reach it and taxi is not expensive at all. There is free parking, which is especially useful if you reach the place by car. The staff was really helpful and friendly, and the rooms modern, big enough and convenient. It is difficult to find such a good option at this price so close to Ljubljana

Good value for money. Plus for the bakery next door which is open on Sundays too - long queue as every other shop is closed. Good plus for complimentary salt, sugar and such in the lobby. Nothing special to mention in the rooms and that's ok too.

The location is excellent, staff is nice and professional. We loved that there is available parking space. The apartment was very clean. The only thing that we wanted to have was bigger/normal dinning table in the apartment. The rest was perfect

The accommodation was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for self catering. The hosts were very helpful and even gave us a much appreciated lift to the bus station when we checked out as it was raining. The property was about a 15 minute walk to the lake and just 5 minutes from the supermarket and tourist information office.

It's rare I leave a full-star review on a first visit, but this had to be my favourite place to eat during my whole stay, and the service was everything I want in a restaurant. I'd popped in without a reservation after a long walk. I was greeted kindly and given a few places to sit. I chose somewhere at the back but was moved just the once so I wasn't rushed. Excellent food and service in a homely space. Ordered the beef with pepper sauce medium. It was a touch over, but the sauce was spot on. Prices were reasonable for the execution, although the tenderloin did have a bit of gristle.

We were a party of 6 that they fit in w/o a reservation for an early dinner. Our waitress was awesome. Super knowledgeable about the Slovenian wines and made recommendations for shared appetizers as well as accommodated substitutions (gnocchi for potatoes etc) Standouts: grilled veg and cheese appetizer, octopus salad, duck confit and steaks. Don’t miss the strudel and girbanci for dessert.

It is a high end Slovenian restaurant in the old town. The prices are quite high. I had Tagliata that is sliced beef and it was superb. Also I had Merlot barrique and it was amazing. The only thing is that people are trying to sell you the most expensive things on the menu. I have money it is not a problem but may be I like something else. Anyway, the meet and wine is good.

I would recommend calling to reserve, my email went unanswered. We had to wait 15 min at the door. The hostess was a bit rude with the guests but the server was very nice and the food came quickly and was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and was nice to try Slovenian cuisine.

Pity that when rates ate only given in whole stars, as I would have given it 4,5, The food was quite good. But what was most exiting about this place is the atmosphere and decoration. There was a queue but we got an approximate time for our table. We could go to a short walk to explore this nice city and when we got back we could get our table straight away.

Fantastic stay in beautiful surroundings

We loved the staff and property. Our chalet location was top notch. We also really appreciated the e-bikes, spa and option to dine on property. We loved it all!

Yes the hotel is a little on the outskirt of the center but near the train and bus station for traveling around. An uber into town is only 3 or 4 euros. We stayed in winter and loved it. This Hotel is a bit quirky with a lot of different with a lot of Quirly things scattered around like motivational quotes in different places throughout the hotel I have just seen other reviews with bad rooms but out rooms were great and we had no issues. We loved the location as it’s 10 minutes walk from the bus stop in Bled but away from the lake so very quiet and calm and not as busy as around the lake. The owner is absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us. Can’t recommend enough, 15 minutes walk down to the lake and beautiful views from the guest house itself!

Tourist Farm Kranjc did not disappoint! From the wonderful breakfast and dinner to the well appointed and very clean room, our stay was a real treat. We were able to truly relax and enjoy the view of the village and mountains below. Everything about the visit was amazing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, because it's a quiet and charming location just few steps from the lake. The staff is very kind and the hotel also offers and organizes several activities on or near the lake. Also the jams at breakfast are worth to mention.

Incredible hospitality! They offer all kinds of activities such as canoeing, kayaking, sup boards, paragliding, e-bikes, canyoning, even yoga! And, if you are more interested in a relaxing vacation, the hotel is perfect for that as well! Bed was pretty crappy, soft and tilted. Noisy room as it was next to the creaky stairs. Lots of activities offered and it’s just by the lake. No gluten-free food available at all.

It’s a nice hosetel with friendly staff. Everything is clean and they have towel with it (which is rare for hostel)! The only problem is that there’s club in the basement so there will be so music at night. The hostel however offers earplugs for u so it’s okay :)

I was happily surprised on how nice the rooms are. Staff is extremely friendly and caring. Location is very central to the old town, just the view is not as scenery even though it's near the coast. But I do love the cute little terrace in front of the rooms I booked. I'd come back here anytime;)

Very nice place, we had a 3 person room with our own bathroom. It is not cheap for a hostel, but the staff is friendly. There is a great bar adjecent. Also a cozy garden for the guests.

Placed on a good spot close to everything, this is a really nice, cosy and cost effective accommodation for tourists. We travelled there as part of a group and were received most kindly. The owners are friendly and ready to help wherever they can. It is a tough walk down and up to the hostel if you want to go in the middle of the day, though.

It was excellent because the staff was extremely helpful, polite and easygoing. In addition, the view was great, the food pretty good. The location is actually pretty nice if you are looking for nature, for peaceful surroundings. When it comes to noise, I did not notice any. I am satisfied.

I was there with my class for a school trip and it was in a general a good experience yet we were wrongly accused of stealing and were completely innocent and the owner didn’t believe us. This hostel is very close to the city center, right next to the Dragon Bridge. The staff was very friendly while the rooms were nice and welcoming. Each rooms are equipped with a bathroom, lockers and AC. The bathroom was a bit old but everything worked like a charm!

The receptionist (Elma) had very good communication and was very helpful when we were asking questions about the city. We were allocated room 11, the bedroom was small but there was an entrance area where we could store our bags, it also had a table. I've been there for one night and I was pleasantly surprised about the cleanness and the respect of everyone even if i lived in the biggest room with many people. In the evening you can spend your time with wonderful people in the public kitchen which is also very cozy and clean. The ladies at the front desk where very helpful and they told me about the city a bit and gave me useful information. Also...

It was located in the city centre, very close to all the tourist sites, supermarkets and good places to eat. The rooms were in very good condition and equipped with everything you would need. You could also use the kitchen between 8 am and 11 pm. I totally recommend it.

Really cool Hostel. Price is good, beds are really comfortable. Suggested especially to young people that don’t matter about sleeping in big and crowded rooms. The receptionists are really sweet and helpful. It’s really close to the center, just five minutes walking, and 10 minutes from the bus station.

best thing about this hostel is the staff. We reached the hostel at 4 am in the morning. They charged us few bucks extra, but did let su in at that time of the day. City itself is not very big, so even it is a bit on the far end from "the city", it's doesn't feel like it. However, rooms are awfully small. More like small store rooms, but have beds on it
