Where to stay in Slovenia

I like the location very quiet in pedestrian super city center. We were group of 9 people, we appreariated to sit downstairs at social room, where is also microwave oven and electrical kettle. Some friends from group had breakfest and were very satisfied.

Great location, clean room, decent breakfast. Cons: Upon check-in, we weren't shown to our room or where breakfast was served; the room was cold at night, and the air conditioning, which could be set to a warm temperature, didn't turn on.

Parking was in the parking lot below Parliament Square. I was charged €23 for parking from 4:30 PM to 8:30 AM the next day. For reference. The location was indeed good, and the breakfast was okay, better than expected. Surprisingly, I was given a family room. I had to carry my luggage up and down the stairs myself, and there was no elevator in the parking lot.

The biggest plus is the location. You step out of the hotel and you're right in the center. Very convenient for travelers. The room is clean, well-maintained, and quiet. The breakfast is ample. We loved everything!

Needs a good make over. Staff helpful. No lift so be sure you get ground floor otherwise be prepared for 30 steps up. Family room spacious. TV doesn't work.

Breakfast memu was fresh everyday, staff were excellent, couteous, polite and very helpful, the room temp was very nice and warm

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms. Great buffet style breakfast and friendly staff. It is located right on the main square so wonderful for seeing the sights and restaurants. Only downside is parking is at a municipal multi story car park outside the old city with a discount. Shuttle buses run from outside hotel and hotel did provide full instructions pre arrival. Everything was almost perfect. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a good variety of fresh foods. Staff were helpful. It was also central and rooms had a good view. The hotel does have a curfew though my neighbour disregarded this and spoke loudly for a long time on their phone/internet after 3am, noise carried, which was the only negative.

Perfect for people arriving with bikes as they have a safe inside garage for all bikes. Breakfast is awesome and staff were very nice. Music played late outside but with hear plugs, we slept well. Bed was very confortable and great pressure in shower. 10!

Great access to the beach and the food outlets were good too.

Service is helpful and hotel staff is very professional. It will be nice to have teapot in the room. Shower in the bathroom sprays the water across all the room. This needs to be fixed.

Great resort with a great location and its own private beach! The room is quite clean. Breakfast is a buffet with a wide selection. Parking is on site, but can be full during peak season.

Close to the water, walking distance to a lot of eating, lovely rooms. Single occupancy you will have an actual balcony to sit at. (These are the corner rooms). All in all would stay again.

pleasant hotel with a few shortcomings The staff are professional and kind. I booked two rooms and one was OK, but another one was a bad smell, find in the room on the wall two mosquitos and two bugs, and the bathroom had moisture in the ceiling. I also saw mosquitoes in the corridor of the hotel.

Loved our stay here and can imagine coming back in the winter. The ski slopes are just by the hotel, the hotel is comfortable and pleasant, and the area is just amazing! The spa is super nice too to relax in after a day of hiking, or skiing in winter.

The professional and helpful staff and superb location give this rating a three. We were booked at this hotel for 2 nights while hiking the Alpe Adria trail. Rooms are getting off-dated, however it was clean when we arrived! The fact that there are no A/C is ridiculous. We barely slept in a boiling warm room. The wifi did not function at all on our floor. A nice, alpine-style hotel a few kilometers from Bled. Excellent if you like biking and sports. Great to get away from the huge crowds in town. Rooms were pleasant and clean and breakfast very good. The only thing we would have wished for was a place to go for a swim - the pool is only for the glampers. Otherwise we were very happy with our stay.

Great location for Lake Bohinj activities The location was great for access to Lake Bohinj. The hosts were wonderful and helpful. The drying room made getting stuck in the rainstorm not an issue with packing the next day.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gasperin. It's easy to arrive at the hotel by bus from Bled. There's also parking for cars. The hotel is in great condition, seems almost new. We did not make a reservation for wanting a chance to see the facility in person before a decision.  Our encounter with the receptionist, Miss Gloria, was quite impressive.  We felt that she was always looking out for the customers’ best interests.  She was also quite patient with us by providing some interest points to visit.  We enjoyed our stay so much to the extent that we had extended our stay

My family and I loved everything about this hotel, both the room and the breakfast.

Although staying in Bled is more expensive than you would expect, when compared to other hotels in the area Hotel Lovec is overpriced for the state of room you get. We had to change rooms because our inital room hadn't been cleaned to a level that would be reasonably expected. The new room was a twin. One of the beds was ok but the other was clearly very old as the centre of it had started to collapse...

Nice location and friendly staff

The hotel is conveniently located, within a 5-minute walk to the lake and the bus station. There is a shopping mall next to it, many restaurants and a supermarket. The room terrace has a beautiful lake view.

As always, I'm staying for work, so I can't fully enjoy all the amenities. In any case, the hotel is in decent condition, with a gym, tons of pools, and a few places to dine, grab a beer, and grab an ice cream right outside.

Food is nice and tasty, staff is very kind and helpful, kids have nice pools to play. Adults also have nice pools to choose. Rooms are nice and spacious. Highly recommended for all families!! We were in winter time in summer must be even better with all outdoor pools.

Everything was fine, except for the lifeguards talking very loudly in the sauna area or sleeping inside their cabins with the lights off. Avoid the Terme 3000 if you want to relax because there you will find children screaming and diving.

Just got back from a very pleasant long weekend at this Slovenian spa. All types of indoor and outdoor pools, golf course, comfy rooms complete with the local specialty of pillows filled with buckwheat husks ( helps with snoring, stiff necks etc.) We were on half board and must say the food (IMO) was very good. We spent a wonderful long family weekend in Ajda. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is delicious with a great variety and selection to choose from. We spent our days in the pools and saunas, and enjoyed every minute of it. Ideally located just steps from the P+R, it's very easy to get to the city center. The beds are comfortable, the room is equipped with a small fridge, and the bathroom is very well designed. We stayed here at the end of November and everything from start to finish was perfect. The very friendly staff dropped us a message to advise on the very complicated parking arrangements there are in Piran, providing very straightforward instructions on what we needed to do. We had a wonderful stay at Vila Piranesi! The location is unbeatable – right by the sea, with the most beautiful view from the window, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It truly felt like a peaceful escape. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and we’d love to come back again soon!

We continued to our next stop at Opatija, Croatia after the wonder stay, Thats when we found out we have left behind about 800 euro in the bedroom drawer. Villa Piranesi is located in the center of the city, directly next to the port. The sea and restaurants are a stone's throw away. The room was very spacious and cozy. We will definitely come back.

Our room was on the second floor, and there’s no elevator, so we had to carry four bags and the kids up the stairs ourselves, which was quite inconvenient. Nice experience for a night . We stopped to this beautiful hotel with our children . The room was very clean and nice . The views are breathtaking! The breakfast was delicious and there was a nice lady asking us if we wanted anything different from the buffet. We will definitely go back to this hotel . The hotel is lovely, family owned and the service is good. The rooms are cosy and clean, but the building doesn’t have an elevator or individually set air condition. We also tried the restaurant but the food was classical local dishes with a nicer presentation and far from what we expected. Very basic ingredients with no “twist”, in a 6 course meal the ingredients are repeated.

We were a little disappointed that the restaurant was closed on the first of our 2 night stay. However the meal we had on the second night was superb and we opted for the wine selections for each course offered by the hotel which also worked really well. Comfortable hotel with wonderful and helpful staff, however it is the food and wine experience that will make us remember hotel Planinka! This is a very comfortable, quiet hotel just away from the scenic views of Lake Bled. It's well worth your stay. They provide a lovely breakfast too. On the night that we stayed, there was quite a dramatic thunderstorm that light up the surrounding hills and kept us awake for a while but certainly no fault of the hotel :-) We enjoyed the thunderstorm on our balcony which every room seemed to have.

Nice hotel with serene views! Very nice stay here if you want to stay away from the city center and noises and distractions. Its a taxi ride of 7 minutes to city center or a long walk there. We absolutely loved our stay. The surroundings and property are incredibly beautiful. Customer service is excellent!!!

If you're visiting Slovenia and want to visit the caves, I recommend staying at this unique farm. It's a 20-minute drive from the caves, and a 10-minute drive from a large supermarket. The farm has fresh air, lots of cute animals, and the rooms are also very nice. It's a great place to stay on a European farm early.
