Check in was very confusing, property was a bit hard to understand

Rooms were clean and comfortable, check in smooth, breakfast good, but when you sell a property with parking and is really difficult to find. Then you walk through the empty "paid "parking . International visitors (couples) travel with 2 suitcases one luggage rack again, empty wardrobe maybe a folding one. Or one you could get from reception 😉 STILL we live in hope. Colin. Australia 🇦🇺

Mostly a hotel for retirement associations and groups with a nice location near various beaches. Solid rooms and food, but nothing special.

The location is close to the beach with a beautiful walk path. Perfect to get a view of sunset. We like to go and stay there in the middle of Spring season where walking along the beach is a ritual of peace and quietness.

The food at this hotel was very abundant and varied. There was free parking, some lovely evening music on a Saturday night, several seawater pools, and a very nice library. We appreciate that the hotels aims to be environmentally friendly, using recycled paper and tissue, minimizing plastic waste by providing large-sized containers of toiletries etc.

I genuinely recommend this hotel for those who wish to explore the Slovene coast, and search for its hidden treasures. It doesn't look like any of this fancy 5-star design hotels out there, but don't let that fool you, because judging this book by its cover would be your mistake. The rooms are very nice and modern, the entertainment program is very rich, there are various swimming pools and well equiped dressing room, the food in the restaurant is OK, though not really vegetarian friendly (only if you are OK with salad only). Fun family-friendly hotel!! Rooms are extremely clean although slightly dated but still serve their purpose well! Highly recommend a balcony view where you can look out into the harbour. Overall not too bad. Thé breakfast was pretty good. Bacon, eggs… etc the coffee was not too bad from the machine. The room was a good size. A bit dated but clean. The only problem was the door was a bit thin so you heard the people in the hall way leaving and cleaning. The parking garage was good. A bit tight so pay extra attention. We booked directly on their website which had no available option for a family of 3 at the time but they were very accommodating and immediately helped us on arrival. Everything was almost perfect. Breakfast was exceptionally good with a good variety of fresh foods. Staff were helpful. It was also central and rooms had a good view. The hotel does have a curfew though my neighbour disregarded this and spoke loudly for a long time on their phone/internet after 3am, noise carried, which was the only negative.

Loved our stay here and can imagine coming back in the winter. The ski slopes are just by the hotel, the hotel is comfortable and pleasant, and the area is just amazing! The spa is super nice too to relax in after a day of hiking, or skiing in winter.

Ideally located just steps from the P+R, it's very easy to get to the city center. The beds are comfortable, the room is equipped with a small fridge, and the bathroom is very well designed. The only place of the many many hotels in Europe that offered to help us with our bags. There are stairs to enter but they are manageable. Good breakfast in a quiet room. A pleasant family owned hotel with excellent location in Ljubljana. The atmosphere is very welcoming and service friendly. Nice rooms with good beds and air con, and also a good breakfast. Our daughter forgot something in the room and it was all fixed withing hours with great service minded attitude, really appreciated the way this was handled. We warmly recommend this hotel!

We also tried the restaurant but the food was classical local dishes with a nicer presentation and far from what we expected. Very basic ingredients with no “twist”, in a 6 course meal the ingredients are repeated.

We were a little disappointed that the restaurant was closed on the first of our 2 night stay. However the meal we had on the second night was superb and we opted for the wine selections for each course offered by the hotel which also worked really well. Breakfast too was excellent with great selection and some beautiful fresh fruit. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would love to stay again

Comfortable hotel with wonderful and helpful staff, however it is the food and wine experience that will make us remember hotel Planinka! There’s an impressive cellar of Slovenian wines (some others too) and our host knew exactly which wines to pair with our choice of dishes. 10 out of 10! Breakfast is nice too.
