Where to stay in Slovenia

I nice little hotel in the center of Tolmin but not without its issues. Room is missing a kettle/coffee facilities and has so many little lights shining overnight (TV, thermostat etc) Fridge didn’t work. Wifi was very flaky. Bike storage is down a steep ramp into the basement but it’s very fancy and seems to be from a previous life as a dance room maybe. Breakfast was OK but I cannot recommend...

This was an outstanding experience. Loved the very large room, the hotel, the history. The front desk staff were very helpful and it was walking distance to the gorge and castle. Compared to other hotels with higher ratings, this hotel is superb.

A hotel with a charming old world vibe. Many of the rooms are in a building directly opposite the main hotel. I would recommend avoiding rooms in the top floor as headroom is impeded by the roof slope. Otherwise rooms are very comfortable and clean. Very nice breakfast with lots of food options. Several very good, reasonably priced restaurants within a short walk.

Didn't stay at the hotel but had a coffee at their outside cafe. Great coffee, quick service. Biked here on our way to the train station so also needed to use their restroom which was very clean. Thankfully coffee is easy to understand in any language as our waitress didn't know English, French or Spanish. Our guide spoke Slovenian so all went well.

Such a nice hotel - it’s been recently renovated, comfy bed, spacious bedrooms and the AC works perfectly (stayed during summer - so it was essential!). Breakfast has everything you need and the customer service is great. Special thanks to Helenca - the lovely lady who helped us since 2020 and was even willing to share her pizza with us when we checked in late and tired.

we stayed there for one night. This hotel is great! Very clean and calm. The decoration is very original and give the vibes from the old artistic times. Very friendly staff. We will definitely come back back for more nights.

The hotel is very quiet, and there is free parking in front of the entrance. The rooms are well-equipped, the bathroom is very clean, and the room rate is very reasonable.

Check in was not so good But check out was very good & professional. The area is amazing the room is ok. Towels and room was clean. Quite silent and fresh air area and not to far to the city.

Good camping. But swimmingpool was closed 1 day before we got there although the temperature was still 32°C... We booked it so we had refreshing and they didnt tell us. We had to find out ourselves

This was the friendliest hotel we found on our trip in Slovenia. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was very small and next to a road but fine for an overnight stay. The food at dinner and at breakfast was very good. Particularly helpful was that the hotel offered free parking next to the hotel.

This hotel was by far the most impressive of the 6 previous hotel stays on our trip through Germany and the UK. Absolutely beautifully decorated, premium fittings and amenities and historic charm without compromising modern conveniences.

Superb location 10 min walk to the stunning lake. We were welcomed by a very friendly and knowledgeable lady from the Philippines Our room was large and spacious with window shutters to keep the heat out. No tv or air on, but that didn’t bother us. Grajski dvor in Radovljica was the perfect stay for our cycling trip. Unfortunately, they gave us a room in the old building. Although it was clean, the torn curtains, the holey sheet and the fact that the room door couldn't be locked made our stay uncomfortable.

This is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The property consists of two buildings located about 200 meters apart, but the reception is only in the newer building, which can be inconvenient. This hotel is a located in the heart of the city centre. Hotel personnels are very helpful . The hotel provides good filling breakfast . One has the option of eating out or option of ordering from outside. A nice place to stay and do a sight seeing around. The best staff I have ever come across and I am quite a traveler. Very helpful, very nice, making the guest feeling at home like, really. We loved our stay at Hotel Miklic. After receiving a warm welcome we were shown to our room which had a fantastic view to the mountains. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of town so ideally situated. The whole place was very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and nutritious. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful one night stay. Breakfast selection was great, and the staff were all very lovely. Th only downside is the walls were pretty thin and so we could hear the neighbors talking pretty clearly.

Rooms are pretty new in modern style. Breakfast is like so so...nothing special, below european average I'd say. Advantages of this hotel are that it is on beach so if you have room with view on sea it is nice and dive shop in the same building. There is a fridge in room, and you get water free when you come. In the dive shop you can rent paddle board etc or arrange diving. Good parking. No elevator...

Visited at the start of October and everything was very quiet. Plenty of parking and smart smallish room. Breakfast was fine. It is a 15 minute walk along the coastal path to get into the centre of town. Beware that the path is not lit, so a torch as needed at this time of year.

Pros: rooms have a fridge, a safe and hot water and are clean and comfortable. The hotel has secure parking. Cons: no lift and the breakfast is uninspiring. Our 'garden view' was on to a roof. Unexpected benefit: we might have booked into Camp Fiesa next door, which is basically a car park.

Great hotel and the location is second to none. The breakfast is good and so are the meals they offer in the evening. Get a suite with a view of the Adriatic and you will never want to leave! Oh yeah, have some wine or a good Slovenian beer. Slovenia wine is in incredible and deserves more notoriety in the world.

The only place of the many many hotels in Europe that offered to help us with our bags. There are stairs to enter but they are manageable. Good breakfast in a quiet room. Rooms aren't massive, but big enough for what we needed and location is 5-10min walk to the old town sites and 10-15 to the train/station.

We didn't stay in the hotel itself, but had a breakfast there, because they open relatively early and were located near our place. The personnel were very nice, the breakfast as well very good and isn't expensive. Thanks!

A pleasant family owned hotel with excellent location in Ljubljana. The atmosphere is very welcoming and service friendly. Nice rooms with good beds and air con, and also a good breakfast. Our daughter forgot something in the room and it was all fixed withing hours with great service minded attitude, really appreciated the way this was handled. We warmly recommend this hotel!

The room is pretty nice, with great air conditioning, very nice pillows, and a very beautiful bed. The food in the hotel was pretty good, with the pancakes being among the fluffiest I've ever had. I did not like the design of the hotel, but it was overall pretty good.

We had a two night stay in one of their basic rooms . It was very clean and comfortable . The hotel smells so nice , all public areas and the bedrooms smell beautiful ! The pool is gorgeous and whilst we were there was very very quiet . It is a little hotel which we leave behind after 3 nights with mixed feelings. The locations is absolutely perfect. The surroundings are stunning and there is peace and quietness all around. And there is also the first issue. Lovely restful place in a strategic position to visit Bled, the Triglav Park and the area; we stayed in a well-equipped suite with large patio/kitchen. It was spacious, silent, warm and clean, eco-friendly, nested in nature and lovely for the eye. We got the chance to take an offer so the price of the room was well worth. The only two flaws in our opinion were the mattress (too hard) and food quality...

Experience was great, location is amazing and everything was clean and on spot. Rooms are nicely done, and also it comes with Netflix in couple of languages which was surprising (with no extra cost). You have self service bar which you can take wine (you only write down your room number so you pay at the end). There is also breakfast for 18euros per day. Also they have bike to rent

Wonderfull 4 night stay near lake Bled. This was a perfect place to do some activities near lake Bled without being in the crowded center. This is a beautiful place in the woods, there is a path trough the fields to get to bled (30mins walk) We've stayed in one of the bungalows which has an own BBQ and kitchen. Superb place to do a BBQ!! Big shops like SPAR and Lidl are only a 10min drive. Very friendly...

Location is 2,5km away from Bled center, but you can walk to city on very nice roads through the crop fields 😂. We stayed here as part of our On Foot walking holiday in May 25. A generous breakfast was on offer and the room was comfortable. Staff were friendly.

We enjoyed a perfect lunch with excellent Pizza and seafood in the restaurant. The team is amazingly friendly and well organized. Even that we came without any reservation, the team managed immediately to get a free table. We love to come back soon. Reservation is a good advice.

We enjoyed our dinner there we had to wait but the waiting time was ok, the waiters are so busy but still they can put smile on their face, it's holiday so I guess in normal time the service would be great, but in general I recommend it, the atmosphere is very nice.

Excellent geographic location for excursions along World War I trails. The hotel is welcoming. Both the Great War Museum in Caporetto (preferably with the museum's knowledgeable guide) and Mount Kolovrat, a faithful reconstruction of Italian military camps (trenches, observation points, and walkways), are worth a visit. Second time we have stayed at Boka Hotel. Staff extremely helpful. Owner took time to talk and take photos. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding. The hotel sits in a beautiful location with hiking trails close by. Will stay here again and would encourage others to do so. You won’t be disappointed.

Very nice hotel, comfortable room, good breakfast included. Very close to the Boka Falls, beautiful views of the surround mountains and the Soca river. Nice large, comfortable public balconies, self serve coffee and tea bars. Small private sauna (need to pre-book). A basic hotel in a convenient location. You can park your car in the hotel yard and you can get drinks from the vending machine around the clock. The service is average and the decor modest. Great spot in Isola!! Very comfortable room and excellent support from the front desk person. We were given great recommendations for dinner and desert on the night of our arrival and just walked all over the town to reach them. At breakfast we enjoyed eggs and sausage and yogurt and could have had so much more- the selection was great. We parked right by the entrance, which made handling our luggage...

The owners are incredibly nice, amazingly attentive, rooms are super clean and beds are comfortable (slept like an angel). But the breakfast buffet is absolutely astonishing considering the size of the hotel! Also they have a lovely shaded terrace that allows you to comfortably get some cool fresh air.

Overall great experience. Hotel room was cozy, very nice, and very quiet. Apparently there is a “be back at the hotel/curfew” time of 10PM that is not communicated upon arrival. Other than that, would definitely recommend the place to anyone.

Hotel staff very friendly, rooms a bit older but always clean! Very tasty breakfasts! If you get lucky (like we did) and get the room with the lake/caste view, it's absolutely amazing! If you are not all about luxury I definitely recommend a stay in this hotel :)

The hotel was amazing, but rather 30 years ago... I can bet that the bathroom and especially the tub were older than us :/ the breakfast was average. The room could have been cleaner and the bed more comfortable. The promised view lake was amazing, which helps my review a bit :)

Very old and dated hotel but if you get a lake view room then wow! Bed was very uncomfortable and breakfast wasn't great. Good price for the lake view though. For the hotel over the road (owned by the same group) you would be looking at a much higher price. Free parking and very central location. Just underneath the Straza Bled park (about 5 minutes walk). Very friendly staff. No air conditioning so...

I've loved my time at the hotel. The room is very simple the bed wasn't super comfortable and breakfast was pretty average but the view from my room! My goodness, breathtaking! The staff are really lovely too. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the breakfast.

We spent 2 nights in the hotel. The location was very good, near to the lake. Our room was on the 5. floor. We weren't satisfied with it. It was clean, but it had a very oldfashion style, with old, used furniture and bathroom. We heard the wind every night. The breakfast was poor too. It was so simply, and we had to wait for something f.e. new plates. The lift was very slow too.

Very nice stay! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beautiful patio with an amazing view. I wanted to stay there longer just for the patio. The breakfast isn't great, but the staff is very nice.
