Hotel The Designers DDP in Seoul

The location is pretty good and generally user-friendly. Aside from the cleanliness needing improvement, the price is quite reasonable! Transportation is convenient, and it's close to both Dongdaemun and Myeongdong.

The room was a bit small; once the suitcase was open, there was barely any room to walk. That's pretty common for hotels in Korea, so I can accept it. However, the cleanliness was really a problem. On the first night, I killed a cockroach while showering 😂, which was truly unexpected. On the positive side, the front desk and staff were all very kind and helpful. The location is also great, right in Dongdaemun, close to the subway station, and there's an airport bus stop nearby.

Unfriendly staff, especially the guy working the night shift. He sighed every time I asked something while he was just playing on his phone. Complete waste of the owner's money.

Very convenient location! With shopping and attraction just nearby. There is washing machine FOC, coffee and ironing at lobby. However, cleanliness could be improved as I saw hair on the mattress. No breakfast option in this hotel but there are plenty of shops nearby.

The room is a little bit small but can still open up 28’ luggage, pretty good location,around 10 mins walk from the mrt. The nearest exit doesn’t have a lift or escalator but the other exit with lift is just abit further only. They do have 1 washing machine and 1 dryer at the lobby so can do laundry if needed. Its near to the popular gwangjang market too.Overall, value for money

Great location, convenient airport access
The hotel location is excellent — only about 3 minutes’ walk to the train station and DDP, which made getting around very easy.
The Airport Limousine Bus 6001 starts as early as 4:40 AM from nearby. Although this stop is not the first on the route, the staff will activate a second bus if the first one gets full — which they did this morning, so we didn’t have to wait long.
Water pressure in the shower is strong and satisfying. The only downside is that the toilet space is quite small.
Overall, a very convenient stay for travelers using public transport and heading to the airport early.

I booked a deluxe king room, which, according to the room type description, should have been on floors 8-19. However, when I checked in, the front desk assigned me a room on the 6th floor. Upon entering, I found the room to be quite ordinary. The bathtub and shower facilities were also poorly designed; even with a shower curtain, water would spray out, leaving a puddle on the floor. I later checked my booking and realized they had given me the wrong room type! That evening, I went to the front desk to discuss it. Initially, they insisted that room 601 was a large room and there was no difference, even claiming other rooms would be smaller... It was only after I insisted that they agreed to move me to a higher floor, 1301, the next day. As expected, the higher-floor room was noticeably newer. What a waste of money for the first night's room difference!

Very nice and clean hotel room. Only issue was when taking a shower, even though it was above the bathtub the entire bathroom would be flooded. A lovely view though.
