It’s certainly nothing luxury, but it gets the job done for a decent price. I was only there one night, in fact I probably spent less than 6 total hours in the hotel, but the bed was pretty comfortable, the shower worked well, it was easy to access, and the receptionist was very nice. Free ice cream when you check-in too 😂
If you’re going to spend a lot of time in your hotel, such as if you’re on a business trip and will be doing some laptop work from your hotel room, and staying a couple of nights, it’s probably worth spending a bit more for something nicer. But if you’re like me, and you basically are only in the hotel to sleep and shower and are otherwise out exploring Seoul, this definitely gets the job done.
The location is quite convenient. It’s right on a street which has a lot of young people hanging around during the day, it’s a very short walk from Exit 3 of the Hongik Univ Station, and it’s decently close (easily walking distance, though maybe not when drunk) to a “club street” if-you-will.

Our of the 3 accommodations that I stayed in South Korea this was by far the worst, this was a last minute booking for 1 night only since we had some flight adjustments.
The location is good as it’s in the heart of Hongdae and close to shops, restaurants and subway. The entrance is dodgy and dark, at the end of an alley.
We were assigned the room on the last floor (5th) and there’s no elevator, kindly the staff member helped me carry my 20kg luggage upstairs.
The room is very cramped, old and not well maintained, does not feel clean. We also saw a cockroach running by the room.
There was no hot water for a shower at night, the water was just at natural temperature.
The old mini fridge inside the room kept making really loud noises through the night which kept me up for a while.
There are no decent blinds on both windows so I woke up with the bright light directly in my face as the bed is positioned right by the window.
Overall would not recommend.

Close to Hongdae Station, convenient. There are restaurants along the way. I stayed in a double room with a kitchen and the room was clean and well-maintained. If you stay for five days, you must dispose of the garbage by yourself and put the garbage in the stairwell bag; take your own towels. No one cleans the room.
It was not very quiet at night, and I could hear the sounds of customers in restaurants outside. The sound insulation was not good, and I could occasionally hear knocking sounds from neighboring residents.

Room size was good, but there was no lift in the hostel. The staff was so nice who helped me to take the luggage to the room. It’s clean. Space was enough to open two medium size luggage in the same time. Hair dryer, microwave, kitchen with sink and induction cooker were in the each of the room so we did not need to share with others.
