Hillside Hotel in Busan

Just stayed there for one night, room was spacious and clean, but certainly dated. Especially the bathroom, doesn’t even have a curtain for showers

I recently stayed at Hillside Hotel in Busan, and overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience. The hotel is located on a quiet hillside area near Busan Station, offering a nice balance between convenience and tranquility. It’s just a short walk or taxi ride to nearby attractions like Nampo-dong, Jagalchi Market, and BIFF Square, making it a great base for exploring the city.

The rooms are clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and basic amenities. Some rooms also offer a nice view of the city and harbor, which is a bonus. The staff were friendly and accommodating — check-in was smooth, and they were always ready to assist with directions or local recommendations.

One thing to note is that the hotel sits on a slope, so if you’re walking from Busan Station, the uphill path can be a bit tiring especially with luggage. However, taxis are easily available and affordable for the short trip.

For the price, Hillside Hotel provides good value, especially for travelers looking for a quiet, budget-friendly stay close to the heart of Busan.

Great value for money. Excellent location, close to city tourist spots like Busan Station, Nampo, and Busan Tower. The staff were attentive, though a heads-up: if you check in late at night, the attendant might be simultaneously working at the adjacent 7-Eleven. Rooms are spacious. On the downside, hallway noise can be an issue, and the rooms' poor soundproofing doesn't guarantee a quiet stay.

Everything is good. Double room it’s fine. Suitable for short stay.

The hotel breakfast was excellent. Although it was a bit of a walk from the station, I didn't mind as I treated it as good exercise. I'll definitely be visiting again, probably when the weather gets cooler. I liked it so much that I ended up extending my stay.

It's right next to the famous Commodore. Just a heads-up: if you're walking, the trek up and down can be a bit challenging. But aside from that, the hotel is well-priced and fantastic!
