Es Cañe in Es Canar

The price and proximity to the beach and the views over the sea is what made us decide to stay with this apartments mid June for almost a week. We had the apartment on first floor, with sea views. The flat is really good sized for two or even three people. The area is also nice, close to other great beaches like Portinatx beach or Cala de sant vicent (highly reccomend). It has pans, plates and utensils and two burner electric stove.
Another good thing was the lady at the reception that was helpful with the issues we had with the tailgate and parking. The downsides: no aircon, only weak ceiling fans. We managed to sleep 3/6 nights. Would not reccomend to stay here after mid June. Another downside was the noise coming from the tractor that churned the sand at 2-4 am on the morning or I don’t know what it did, but since it’s hot and you sleep with windows open this noise did not let me rest or sleep. The flat itself was not very clean, the bathroom had hairs on our arrival. They only change towels every 3 days, but no cleaning of floors from what I could tell. You also need to buy your own dish soap and washing gel. Not a big issue but good to know beforehand. You need to pay for the use of a very very old safe deposit that it is the room, that was unfortunate. The flat was above the restaurant but only once during our stay we had strong fried garlic smell come in our flat. It could have been from other flat but doubt it. Be extra careful with the shower -ours in the middle of washing suddenly have put very hot water, so we had to wash ourselves mostly with warm to cold water as the hot water when it comes is unpredictable. Another big issue we were annoyed by was the sensors at the tailgate of the parking that were very sensitive. Always when entering or exiting the parking we had to do 3 attempts of reversing our car and trying again to slowly or fast or changing the position of the car so it would read our plate number and let us through. Again, the lady at the reception helped us with this but it always took away time from us to deal over and over again with this.

Lovely and clean. Really spacious and well situated in centre of es cana. Infact smack bang on top of Charlie's bar which could be a plus 4 some but a negative for others. Is local hotspot n music goes on til all hours but i slept ok due 2 effective ear plugs! Pool area quite small but kept clean. Staff lovely n friendly accept 4 1 stoney faced she devil in resteraunt! Malverns I think it's called.
