Santa Monica Suites Hotel in Playa del Ingles

This superbly located hotel has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Gran Canaria. From the moment you are greeted by the most friendly and helpful staff you feel welcome. The suites are spacious with everything you need and the view of the dunes and sea from the balcony is fantastic. We booked B&B and enjoyed a huge choice of freshly prepared breakfast foods and occasionally had afternoon drinks and snacks in the pool bar which were of the best quality. Twice we ate an evening buffet in the hotel and that was also top quality. The Cita Centre and Boardwalk are both a stones throw away with lots of choices of bars and restaurants. I can't see why this isn't a 5 star hotel.

We had an excellent week in this exceptional 4 star hotel, that could easily be a 5 star. Location is really good, walk directly on to the beach out of two gates, minutes walk to local bars, restaurants and shops, or a slightly longer walk in to the main town. Food here is second to none. Buffet breakfast and dinner are plentiful, fresh and lots of choice. Dinner theme changes each night and we were never disappointed, just very full. There is a tasty lunch and drinks menu, all of which were better and cheaper than local bars and cafes. Pool is a good size, always plenty of beds and clean towels daily if needed. Gym is fitted out well for those that wish to use it too. Nightly live music most nights, which was good. All staff are friendly, helpful and work really hard, regardless of their role. Every aspect of the hotel is spotlessly clean too. Well done all at Santa Monica Suites Hotel!

This hotel was perfect choice! The location is 5/5, right on the beach and just the right distance from the hustle and bustle. The hotel room was lovely, spacious and bright. A special mention goes to the diverse and delicious breakfast, as well as the cozy pool area where there were plenty of sun loungers for everyone. The gym was small, but it had everything we needed for a solid holiday workout. The service was warm and friendly throughout our stay. We would definitely come back!

I have to admit, it is almost a kind of copy paste here in TripAdvisor each year. The rooms: perfect, cleaning: perfect, beds: cozy, staff: warm welcoming and best ever, breakfast: outstanding, dinner: good for buffet style, WiFi: lousy (I will constantly repeat that until it will be fixed), Director Cat Napoleon: grumpy (touch me - but do not touch me! Maybe he will change now since he got brand-new lounge furniture outside of the reception). To sum-up: best hotel in Gran Canaria with regards to price-benefit, the area, the staff - just everything! So we will back again for sure.

If you come back to a hotel it is all said already. You would not do that, if it is the wrong choice. Again, we did not get disappointed. An absolute fantastic place, amazing staff, great food (halfboard), high quality, high standards - simply perfect. There is no single complain about something I could mention here. Nothing at all. We had a fantastic time again and we cannot wait to book our next vacations in November 2023 once the calendar is open. We strongly recommend this hotel for sure!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have been coming to Hotel Santa Monica for over 4 years, and I can truly say that the performance by Dunia Roger on the night stage (13 September 2025) was one of the very best I’ve experienced here. She delivered a brilliant and vibrant mix of pop songs and romantic melodies, bringing true energy, class, and elegance to the evening. Dunia has a rare talent: she doesn’t just sing—she transforms the night into a real stage experience. Her voice is both powerful and soothing, the perfect blend to lift the mood while also letting you relax and enjoy. The hotel should definitely invite her back more often—she is a brilliant voice to chill out the night and an artist who makes every moment unforgettable.

Second time visiting this lovely hotel, set in the Dunes in a quiet location. It’s within walking distance to nearby areas, with a bus stop close by for exploring the island. The rooms are clean and modern, the food is good, and the staff are nice, overall a very relaxing week-long stay. My only minor complaints are the patchy WiFi and the aircon, which isn’t very cold or strong (just personal preference). All in all, a fantastic hotel!
