Perfect place for vacation Perfect stay for our family. The place has everything from good food and a lot of options, clean, offer a lot of facilities, nice personnel. We will return for sure.

Overall, we liked it. The cleanliness, the location. The downside is the food, which has very little variety.

An excellent family-resort-style hotel, super organised, excellent facilities. Great choice of food and drink for all tastes. it took OVER AN HOUR queuing, STANDING IN LINE to check in

We had a great holiday at this hotel without any issues.The front desk staff were all very kind to me even though I am not fluent in the language.

Once at the desk the staff were excellent and very helpful. But not a good start to an otherwise excellent holiday

Room was clean! Staff was great (only one around 35-40 years woman was all the time rude during eating time! Place was super nice and defenatly I will go back! Only problem was that night time suddenly safety box start to piiping and didn’t stop no matter what we try

then we called reception and after half hour somebody (nice) person came to fix it. It would be nice that level hotel they would give discount for future staying because it was ruin 2 hours our sleep

The service is Riu service, 100% high standards overall of the proper workers who make the Riu what it is. The location is perfect with golf courses near by. However the best part was the room and my views

Beautiful hotel, with modern touches. Reception staff were great and very helpful with any questions/issues. Pools were decent although maybe a little small for the quantity of guests at the hotel

An amazing experience as always. After a long time I came back to Riu Gran Canaria to get away for a few days and enjoy of my free time and it was amazing. Restaurants full of options, quality in the food

Bar areas 10/10, staff lovely and very friendly. Sports bar was a must visit - remember your €1 for the pool tables! Beautiful hotel all in all, would happily visit again

Thank you for giving us a perfect Christmas The hotel’s location is excellent, and the meals are both varied and delicious, making it easy to enjoy dining throughout the stay

There was continuous attention for children, with games and clubs always available, and the staff kept coming up with fun and creative activities just for them. Adults could enjoy themselves as well

During Christmas, there was a Santa train, delicious food, and a Willy Wonka musical on stage—the performance quality was exceptionally high. I would like to express my sincere thanks to them

Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. We would like to give a special mention to two outstanding members of staff at Abora Catarina, Alberto and Tom

If there is one downside, it would be that if the pool water had been warmer, we definitely would have spent much more time playing in the water

Alberto was incredibly friendly and supportive throughout our stay — always smiling, approachable, and ready to help with anything we needed. His positive attitude truly made a difference every single day

Staff were excellent and the food was varied and tasty (esp breakfast) - the Bar is plentiful and self serve beer, wine, soft drinks and coffee is good. Room was clean, and the cleaning teams did a good job

It was great loved it - all staff were amazing! Only thing I would change is the fact there is no privacy between guests on the balcony which can make it Abit arkward when all outside but other than that it was great!

overall the hotel is a little tired and dated, with some peeling paint and rough around the edges. I would recommend this as a good budget holiday hotel

A good selection at meal times and plenty to drink, I really enjoyed the fact you could help your self to hot & cold drinks. The pool was lovely and always plenty of sun loungers

The hotel has an excellent location, making it easy to reach everything you need. The staff are very friendly and helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive

We also want to highlight Geri’s incredible singing voice – she is truly talented! It’s a pity that only she performs vocally, because we know there are more great singers in the team

The only reason we are giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the issue with smoking around the pool area. Despite signs being posted, many people smoke there and toss their cigarette butts around the palm trees and showers

The hotel is beautifully located, and the family rooms are large, spacious, and bright. There are beautiful views, plenty of attractions for children, and the food is tasty

The dining room has an outside dining area for alfresco dining. Amazing 🤩 It was Half Term so lots of families with kids but that was to be expected. There is an adult sunbathing area which is worth seeking out

Genuinely an amazing hotel, would return in a heartbeat. The staff are extremely attentive and polite. The cleaners work non stop round the clock and the place is spotless

We went on 3 trips with help from the Tui rep within the hotel and they were great! The riu parties are a lot of fun and easy to book and transfer is quick! Lastly, the entertainment has variety and there is always something to do during the day

There is also a sandy beach a 10 minute walk away and plenty of shops within a 5 minute walk from the hotel! 5 stars for Riu Papayas!

There were enough beds for everyone, but the usual ‘get up at 5 to get the bed I want but not turn up until the afternoon’ people were very much present here. Staff were lovely and the hotel is very clean

There is a lot of choice of beige food which was incredibly bland. The room in which is used for when you check out, and need to shower, was absolutely shocking. No organisation, not clean, no space

Very little noise from outside. Higher floor probably has better view and quieter. We were on the 4th floor and the view was pretty good, and were not bothered by any noise. Lots of wardrobe, cupboard and drawer space

Ocean view room means the opposite side of the hotel to pool and activities area, which means quieter. Nice beach and ocean view is over the hotel car park and a road of low rise beach front apartments

Six digit safe in the wardrobe is just big enough for my 15. Wifi 10 mbps up / 10 mbps down in room. Wifi connection with room number is a bit hit and miss, but reception has a work around

Excellent and very extensive breakfast buffet with a little table service. All staff and services were **excellent**, and staff were always very helpful

Hotel in general: Could do with more no smoking areas and more clearly sign posted. Good WiFi signal everywhere in hotel, even on my cheapo tablet

Aircon fan was a little noisy, but it didn't stop us from sleeping. The aircon cooled the room fine. Double curtains kept out light very well

I’d be up early in the morning for a run and see staff washing windows top to bottom washrooms floors very busy trying to keep the place spic and span

There are no true “restaurants,” only more buffets being marketed as such

smiling and service-minded employees, clean everywhere, beautiful view, good pool areas

They make you create a reservation for holiday dinners, but they are still buffet style and only now you have everyone show up at the same time (instead of staggered), which results in a very long line of people waiting for steak (which ends being chewy and overcooked by my standards)

Lots of front desk staff and people asking if there’s anything you needed it felt like a real relaxing holiday. It actually feels like home when we stay at RIU

It’s a shame that there were not that many cocktail options on the all inclusive package but they still did the job. We had a family room and it was pretty good, cleaned everyday and a great size room

The drinks were quite good as well and the self service cocktail machine was a fantastic touch in my opinion

We have just finished a wonderful 9 night stay. We cannot be more complementary about the hotel and staff. The hotel is immaculate both inside and out

Yes the pools get busy but we were never without a sun bed. Also yes people put towels out and go off all day too. Our first impression was great from the moment we stepped inside. Food amazing and catered for all

Came here for my daughter’s 1st birthday. The whole family had an amazing time. The food was good, something for everyone breakfast, lunch and dinner

The kids entertainment in the evening was the highlight of our daughter’s entire birthday holiday, she loved going to the show every single night

Nearly every single drink at the bar is included in the all inclusive, the food selection and quality is amazing for an all inclusive

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, the place was extremely family friendly. The food was great so many choices and the staff were always helpful

The snack bar around the pool area was ideal for a quick bite to eat. The free bus to the beach was good and on time each day and the Chinese restaurant upstairs was lovely. We got this free with a pool view room

All in all, I would return to this hotel as the price was cheap, the staff excellent, and the food and drinks where nice

i have come to this hotel for 3 years in a row now and it never disappoints me and my family, so many friends we have met because of this hotel and my favourite is the entertainment team, always have good activities and such a friendly atmosphere

There was enjoyable entertainment every night, which made the stay even better. The only downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the beach, but they provide a bus service, which is very convenient

Very nice hotel, good location with restaurants and shopping nearby. Nice rooms and the hotel has all amenities you need. Nice gym and the breakfast is really good.

That’s the only flaw I found and this was more in the day time around the pool bars as dinner waiters always scanned your card so that was fine! The beach and a shopping centre were only a short walk away, hotel called you taxis if you needed them

Room was clean, beautiful view. Staff super nice and the food brilliant. We didn't had a car so the location was perfect for us to use public transport to visit the island.

Everything was more than i hoped for. 5 stars to all catagories. Excellent

This would have been ok, but with 2 infants and our luggage packed and kept by reception this made it laborious and to be honest left a sour memory, which is a shame as the rest of the staff throughout the week were perfect

Shopping centre only 10 mins walk away has 2 supermarkets. Cant fault all staff from restaurants reception bar and cleaners

It's a 3star hotel, if you want 5star, book a 5star. This hotel does what it needs. Staff are great, animation team are awesome. but if you want 5star entertainment. If you want premium drinks then upgrade

The food is nice with quite a bit of choice but it can have days were the choice isn't as good. We upgraded to the premium drinks which worked out cheaper than doing with jet2

We're here now and are very happy with the hotel. The room is nice and kept clean and tidy and the animation team do a great job of keeping everyone entertained. I do think the entertainment needs to go on for longer

The cocktails are nice but for some reason they wouldn't let us have the Martinis even though they are the same price as the others and it doesn't mention anywhere in the app that we can't

if not thrn you will be fine with what's on offer. would i come back? Yes, but I want to see the world!

Every member of staff would say hello when they walked past and were happy to help with anything. Drinks were small but good (each person could have 3 at a time)

I’m in the hotel as we speak and I was pleasantly surprised on how clean and well ran it is. It’s Xmas eve and it’s 25 degrees which makes it even better. The food is great and has a huge selection

The staff were wonderful - genuinely friendly, kind and helpful. There was a very wide variety of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of which were beautifully presented. The hotel is spotless throughout

I’m usually sceptical about buffet style food but it’s super fresh and the staff are on the ball. 5 mins from the beach as well. I read reviews to choose a hotel so I hope you read this and book this one

Not saving sun beds is hard to enforce so it’s a good idea to get down as early as you can for a decent bed or one at all. The pool bar was very quick service with great cocktails same as the chill out bar

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean, we arrived after the restaurant had closed and we were left a box containing sandwiches, yogurt, biscuits and fruit, which was a nice touch

The hotel is spotless, the staff are so helpful the rooms are spacious & modernly decorated. We stayed over Christmas arriving on Christmas Eve and it was over and above what we expected

The Christmas Day gala was an a la carte experience that you would have expected to pay a lot of money for at a top restaurant. This was inclusive of the all inclusive board we had paid for

Lovely hotel, was late checking in and missed the evening meal, went to the room to find a packed lunch and a bottle of bubbly to welcome us. Food was amazing always plenty of choice and warm

Worth noting though quite a bit not included in all inclusive drinks package e. g mojito etc cocktails not available at main restaurant - only tap wine, sangria and beer

Facilities in the hotel were amazing. Gorgeous pool, Billiards space available. Multiple restaurants and bar areas. Multiple lounge spacing near the pools

Food let hotel down, even for an all inclusive it was really bad at times. Breakfast was good but lunch was consistently not up to par. Dinner service had some choice. Staff were the shining factor for my stay

Only thin sheets available which wasn’t the best as it can be a little frosty over night. No irons in the hotel - only dry clean service which I’ve never encountered fresh bottle of water daily

Both the large and smaller pools can only entered by ladders or sliding in off the side, there are no steps down and are too deep for young children to stand up

I booked a double room - clean and functional. Had a smart TV however no apps on it or option to download which was very disappointing

Friendly staff, everything was clean and in order, but its getting to be a bit run down. The all inclusive buffe was ok with lots of deserts

Drinks: Big choice of cocktails,spirits, self service beer and wine taps. Pools: brilliant 👏 Not packed, with plenty of sunbeds and activities. No such a thing as sunbed war. Slides are suitable for all age groups

The rooms are to a great standard. We had a family room and both bedrooms had T. Vs and comfortable beds for all 4 of us. The dining room is comfortable and you are not sat too close to other diners

The food is fantastic in both quality and range, with multiple fish and meat options aswell as vegetarian dishes. The staff are all amazing, friendly and happy to help

There’s no typical restaurant bar area where you can comfortably sit in the cooler evenings. The hotel advertises heated pools, but honestly, it didn’t feel like the water was heated

There were seven of us and put in this wonderful hotel overnight as our flight was delayed. Staff were lovely, we were all given individual rooms, food was fantastic, so much choice. Beautiful grounds with so much to do

Love staying in this hotel have returned there so often I lost track of how many times. Great staff,food clean any problem sorted immediately. Would highly recommend.

We were half board and found plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner. Very quick service and reasonable prices but limited choice. Hotel within walking distance of beach and not far from plenty of restaurants and bars

This hotel is lovely, clean, modern and with games room, sports, gym and spa. The all inclusive food was mostly OK but not good for fussier eaters

A special mention has to go to the roast chicken from the pizza place—it was absolutely amazing. Drinks were also very good, with a wide selection available

The only minor downside was the lack of bottled water in the room, which would have been a helpful addition. Overall, we had a wonderful family holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to return in a heartbeat

The kids’ club was great, and the animation staff were genuinely lovely and engaging. There were plenty of activities for all ages, making it easy to keep the whole family entertained

We’ve just returned from an excellent 8-night family holiday, travelling with our two children (aged 6), my husband, and my in-laws—and we had a fantastic stay from start to finish

Good choice drinks although had to pay for Vina Sol wine 18 euros a Spanish wine

Just had a wonderful week at this hotel. we came away for a quiet break and that's what we had. it was our choice not to join in any activities and no-one bothered us but plenty going on

I very much enjoyed the lady singing Abba at the reception for ‘The night’. The food was plentiful and well cooked. We just found it a bit boring (compared to other Tui Blue hotels that we have stayed in)

The staff are mainly pleasant - big shout out to Roman and Paola in the bar and Maria the events manager. Our room was large with a comfy bed and lots of hot water for a decent shower
