I had planned to stay at the hotel during a recent trip to Europe. On the day of travel, the hotel contacted us via WhatsApp to arrange a contactless check-in, as our flight was scheduled to arrive somewhat late (around 22:00). Unfortunately, after boarding, our flight was forced to return to the gate and was ultimately canceled due to the French air strikes.
We promptly responded to the WhatsApp message to notify the hotel of the situation, but received no reply. When we called the hotel directly, we were given another staff member's contact information. That person initially responded, informing us that we needed to arrive in person to receive any form of service. They then sent—and quickly deleted—a message, the contents of which we never saw. Since then, we have received no further communication.
We had booked the room that same morning, and there was plenty of availability at the time. It seems the hotel is simply unwilling to assist or offer any resolution. The lack of service and communication has been deeply disappointing. We were truly looking forward to our stay, and it’s unfortunate to have missed out due to circumstances beyond our control and receive such poor service.

This is one of my favourite places in recent times: Balear is a place run by people who care, and it shows. Bright, clean and beautifully simple rooms, a thoughtfully curated breakfast selection and, above all, staff with kind hearts who look after you at every turn. Location is a short 9 minute walk into town, on a street quiet enough to leave the windows open at night. Five stars, would absolutely recommend.

Terrible experience!
I get literally a threat in personal messages, because i told them the truth!
The breakfast is not as the picture, 6 night there and they started removing the fruits and also the food because they are so mean with the food!

The stay was delightful and more than exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a small characterful 'boutique' style hotel in Ciutadella and the Balear was certainly that. The Host, Bernard, is a super guy and did everything to make my stay enjoyable, including looking after my bicycle! The breakfast and service was top notch! Would definitely go back! Loved the place.

A couple of observations: the signage on the outside of the hotel could be improved so that it's easier to find. When I arrived for the first time I kept cycling past it. My double room was perfect for me (single traveller) and my bicycle, but it might be a bit tight for a family.

If I could put more stars, I would! The hotel is not only excellent in terms of cleanliness, space, comfort, location, etc... but the service is INCREDIBLE and the people that work there are AMAZING. Just such a lovely, positive energy! They are all so helpful, nice, considerate, generous and kind. I am not even thinking it twice next time I am in Menorca - going straight here!

Small hotel near the center, you can go walking. The single room is very small, a little careless and there is a lot of noise. Very friendly staff.
