It's clear there was an attempt at renovation, but it was just that—an attempt. The staff was very friendly, but the stay left much to be desired. Everything was filthy, from the elevator to the rooms. The location is decent, but that's about it.

Two of us stayed at this hotel, and the positives were: --Excellent location, 200 meters from the train station, 500 meters from the port, and 7 minutes from the city center. --Affordable price; if you're just passing through, it's a good option. --Decent breakfast. The negatives were: --The hotel in general is very old; the bathtub is so high you need a pole to get in...poorly maintained due to its age. --Be careful with the pillow; it's unusable—your chest is higher than your head. Ask for a different one at least. --Noisy and poorly soundproofed rooms. --The shower doesn't stay upright, the fixtures are old, and there are incandescent lights on the bedside tables. IN SUMMARY: If you're looking for a place for a couple of nights at a low price and in a convenient location, it's fine. But if you're looking for extras...avoid it.

Room is clean. But just not ideal for women or children. More of a working man’s stop. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is old. Room was cold. No central air. I did not stay for any of the nights planned. I checked out and went elsewhere.

The location of the hotel was good for the price paid. The staff were friendly, professional and very helpful especially Ingrid. The room was basic and dated but that was reflected in the price.Thank you for being pet friendly.

Staff were very friendly, flexible and most hospitable. Thanks to all the great staff!👍 For these people I would give a 5 ⭐. Breakfast was basic but nice. However the room was a nightmare, overpriced, hardly any natural light, too small, bad lighting and no ventilation especially in the bathroom. It was a room from world war 2. This could easily be improved by having new light coloured or white doors and some ventilation. I stuck it out there but hated the room. Also the internet in the rooms is up and down and not reliable and depending on which room you are in you cannot even get a good phone data connection. The internet wi-fi login is a real pain to continually deal with. It's only good in the reception area.The location of the hotel is great, very near the shops and a mercadona supermarket close by.

Excellent location, approx a 15min stroll to the beach and playa, also bus and rail station.
Almeria city, one of the less over crowded places to wonder around in Spain in the cooler times of the day and year, with a wide and varied selection of shops etc, and great tapas bar.

We returned here having had good experiences last year and the year before. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired today. Two entrecote steaks were gristly and fatty. One of the steaks had been forgotten about and when it did turn up, it was obvious it had been flashed on both sides rather than cooked as it was raw. Only one steak out of four was good. Unfortunately, we don't know enough Spanish to have complained but it should have been obvious that we didn't enjoy it by the amounts left on the plates. Shame really as the place has good ambience and served good tapas yesterday.
