The hotel features multiple pools with water slides suitable for children and adults, a fitness center, spa and wellness facilities, and various sports activities like diving, snorkeling, and table tennis. Guests can dine at the buffet-style restaurant or enjoy drinks at the bar, with some all-inclusive options available. The hotel underwent renovations improving room quality and public spaces, though some reviews mention inconsistent service and occasional maintenance issues. Stayed 11th–18th April 2026. Not a great experience from the start—slow check-in and no luggage storage, just bags left by reception. Arrived late at night to find the air con broken. Told the hotel was “fully booked” so we couldn’t move rooms, yet it clearly wasn’t. Took until the next day to fix after a very uncomfortable night. Pool was dirty at the start of the week, entertainment was poor (same act repeatedly), and no animation team until midweek. Restaurant staff were rude and abrupt, often clearing plates without even acknowledging you. Food was repetitive and poorly labelled—definitely not suitable for anyone with allergies. Other issues included inconsistent shower temperatures, long waits for lifts (only two), and the “Green Monkey” restaurant being closed most of the stay. Overall, it feels like this hotel only makes an effort when it’s busy. Would not return.

Whilst overall we had a pleasant and enjoyable holiday, there are definitely some areas for improvement, particularly regarding first impressions. Check in was diabolical. We waited for around 1 hour 30 minutes just to get to the reception desk. During this time, there were no refreshments offered, no other member of staff to speak to and we had 2 extremely tired, hungry and grumpy children with us. The reception staff kept serving clients at the side who were bypassing the queue over those checking in. The apparent reason for such long delays is that they need to verify your details and check that you have a booking with them by you sending confirmation via email - if this is the case, why on earth not request this before you arrive at the hotel!? I could have easily sent this over in advance. When we got to the check in desk, neither of the 2 staff who eventually served us offered so much as an apology, let alone anything to compensate for the time it took us to check in (and I am fluent in Spanish so there was definitely no language barrier there!). This left a really poor first impression and to be honest is probably the main reason I am only rating 3 stars. It's also disappointing to read another review of someone who stayed at the same time as us who had similar issues at check in was offered a gesture of goodwill when we didn't even get a sorry! Surely customers should all be treated equally? We were half board and found the drinks prices reasonable, the breakfast and dinner was tasty with a wide variety of choices, including fresh seafood and fresh meat on the grill, a large salad bar and plenty of sweets. The staff in the dining room were pleasant enough although I wouldn't say they went out of their way. Our room was clean and well maintained, although on a few occasions we had to ask for toilet roll or towels to be replenished. The pool area was great although a little frustrating that the slides closed between around 2-4.30 which is generally the hottest part of the day, although I understand this is because of the siesta. We ventured out every day and the hotel is within walking distance to other bars and restaurants, although you would probably need to catch a bus to Roquetas centre. We experienced another incident where my partner slipped on wet floor near the lifts. He cut and bruised his knee but once again, reception couldn't seem to care less about this and simply put a wet floor sign up, again not bothering to even ask if there was anything they could do for him or apologise for the incident. Overall, if the front desk improves, it would largely improve customer's experience here.

Well I'll try to keep this as short as I can. Firstly we've travelled to many places and hotels and i've always tried to find the best in each one, not here, the most important thing is if your travelling alone or just want to feel safe in your hotel room please be aware that when you deadbolt the door for extra security you can still open it from the outside this happened on all our rooms ( i did make them aware of this) so please check this. I've given the hotel a rating of 2 one for the comfy bed and one for the location of the beach /sea view. On arrival queued for 50 mins to check in, so slow. On to the rooms * If you have children please beware that the hot tap/bath tap if pushed a little to far gets scalding hot. * No paper bin or mirror in the bedroom, kettle or even a bottle of water in the cooler (not a fridge) no draws either and the pole for the hangers was to low so your dresses crumpled at the bottom. * No aircon on anywhere as it was out of season although temp up to 28 degrees some days. * staff found it difficult to understand you as they didn't speak English and we're all as miserable as sin including the cleaners ☹️. *The entertainment is catered for the Spanish, the artists they had on sang in Spanish. 1 women singer 3 times , 1 man playing a keyboard/sang 3 times and a violinist once all week. * Pool area is ok we only saw them sweeping around the pool once and cleaning the tables (which were dirty) that same day Pool was clean but cold. Sun loungers ok I must point out that if you going over the bridge to the other sunbathing side towards the sea please be aware of the lighting cubes on the floor these are a major trip hazard and a accident waiting to happen if not already. * Food is ok at best , breakfast is good , lunch and dinner is basically the same everday, and if the ques are long for the ("show cooking" 🤣🤣) you get undercooked food. The pizza plates don't get changed they just throw another one over the top of the bits that are left. The pancakes are nice and freshly made lunch and dinner though. *Now for the people omg Its true that Friday,Saturday and Sunday morning until lunchtime at least the hotel has a massive influx of Spanish guests like every where else we went they are incredibley rude, they hough, puff , moan and shove passed with no courtesy whats so ever. If your thinking of going to the market I'll save you the time and trouble its got fruit and veg and just rows of tables full of cheap tatt mostly clothes and shoes thrown on tables where people rummage through it. If you do decide to go, book a taxi(anywhere)because the buses are a nightmare the locals dont think they should que and if you dont move quick enough they started getting all angry one old man was literally pushing me in my back with both hands to move. We wouldn't go back to the hotel or the area basically were not for them and there certainly not for us 😡 !!

Our stay at the Mediterráneo Hotel & Spa was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The food was a real highlight — there was a great variety every day, and everything we tried was fresh, tasty, and well presented. The children had an amazing time, especially with the slides, which were open daily and kept very clean. It made such a difference knowing they could play safely while we relaxed. The entertainment was also brilliant, with something fun happening every evening for both kids and adults, creating a really lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful family holiday, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back again!

What a fantastic hotel, food, location, facilities, staff all amazing We have just come home from an amazing week in this hotel, a short flight from the UK and a 45 minute transfer via coach. All really smooth travelling as a family of four with two young children. The location Outstanding, right on the beach (very small pebbles not sandy) a short walk to some nice shops and redone way and the castle and harbour 20 mins walk the other way. Highly recommend seeing both. The hotel Hotel was very clean, the pools were great, water slides the perfect size for a 7 year old (and 44 year old haha). Our room was a junior suite that was a great size, two king size beds and a large sofa bed if needed. The balcony was a great size too. 3rd floor and got the most amazing sunrises from our room. Really good space in the hotel never felt like you were on top of anyone, plenty of sun beds and space around all the pools. The food A couple of restaurants shut which was a shame but it was very end of season so we totally understand that it was closed for renovations. The main restaurant was Buffet style and the choices were fantastic. Even for a fussy 7 year old girl who doesn’t eat much. Plenty of meat, pizzas, paella, veggie options, fish, pastas, fruits and the desserts were top notch!! The Staff They couldn’t do enough for you, our entertainment guy was amazing, and learnt our daughters name on day one. He did the kids disco, face painting, darts, cornhole, ping pong just fantastic. For a family I would highly recommend this hotel for a break in the sun.

Loved this hotel! My little boy had the best time, due to him been autistic it took a while for them to get use to him and we did feel a little ignored at first and had to mention it to the rep because at one point the staff was talking about us and it even made other guests uncomfortable. It is a lovely hotel, nice and clean, I went the middle of October and just a pre warn they start to pack up the hotel around you and you feel like your in the way and shouldn’t be there, also if your with a pram or have more than one case I would do a private transfer so you get dropped off a walk away from the hotel
21.10.2025 Lee
What a fantastic hotel the staff, rooms and food all amazing. Great choice of food and drinks. Sunbeds are always available throughout the day not one of those places where people are putting towels out at 5am. The beach is 2 mins away accessible via the pool area. Definitely recommend and will be going back again soon 👍
