Hotel Elcano in Malaga

This hotel is perfectly located, just a short walk from the beach. It’s a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of Málaga, yet the city is still easy to reach — by bike, by car, or even on foot (about a 45-minute walk if you enjoy walking, like we do). There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby.

The staff are very friendly, although it helps to know a few words of Spanish. The room is cleaned daily, so please respect the work of the cleaning staff and keep it tidy.

Dogs are welcome in the hotel (€10 per day), except in the breakfast area. Parking on the street can be a bit tricky, but it’s free. There’s also a nearby car park for €20 per day, which is staffed at all times. The hotel itself has its own parking space as well, but this need to be reserved quickly in advance.

We can’t comment on the breakfast since we didn’t try it.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we ever return!

We are very happy with the service, the cleanliness, the area and the facilities. The bed was comfortable, the neighbourhood is great - one of the oldest in Málaga, direct access to the beach with a great play area, perfect for families
Not too loud

Hotel is situated around 4-5km from town centre. You can walk around sea front and enjoy beautiful wievs or you can take bus. The bus stop is 5 min walk from hotel. The room was nice, quiet and clean. I was happy for fridge so I could have bought some food. The only problem was that check-in time was only till 4pm and receptionist didn't speak English at all. However I enjoyed my stay 😊

This hotel is in a quiet suburb just outside Malaga, which was perfect for a relaxing stay. It’s small and cozy, so it never felt crowded like some of the bigger hotels in the city.

The staff were really nice and welcoming, and our room was clean and comfortable throughout our stay. We arrived late at night, but they were very accommodating and made sure we knew exactly how to get into the property.

Public transport is also not a problem as there is a but stop for Lines 3, 8, 11, & 34 running. Also, if you need to send mail there is a postal box near as well.

Overall, we had a great experience and really appreciated the combination of a peaceful location, friendly staff, and clean facilities. We’ll definitely be coming back here on our next trip to Malaga!

Hotel Elcano is a short walk from the seafront where there is a sandy beach that's safe for swimming, and many bars and restaurants serving excellent food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
It is also easy to get to and from the centre of Malaga on the bus as there are bus stops (routes 3, 8 and 11) on both sides of the road right outside the door.
A great place to stay.

Fabulous rooms with ice cold air conditioning . Very clean and superb comfortable bed. Easy walk to beach and lots of lovely restaurants . Bus stop outside and easy access to Malaga old town . Staff all lovely friendly .

Such a great hotel in a perfect location. Staff were lovely (we only spoke Spanish). Rooms quiet thanks to new windows, showers had great water pressure. A/C fully adjustable. Mini fridge allows you to stock up on juices and drinks
This is not the Ritz Carleton but for the price, it’s perfect.

We had a lovely stay at Elcano . We spoke very little spanish. The staff we so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. This is a small hotel. Very clean and tidy

I spent 10 days in Andalusia, travelling around and this is the only place where I had a good sleep. The bed is really comfortable and the room is very silent.The shower is perfect. Close by the beach and restaurants. Everyone was really helpful and welcoming. It was short but very nice experience.
